Top 3 Disney World Value Resorts (And Why We Love Them!) 1

With over 25 Resort Hotels to choose from right on Walt Disney World Property, the choice itself can be overwhelming! Trying to pick the best hotel for your family, with the amenities you need, then factoring in location, dining and transportation options – oh, and then there’s COST too – as if you didn’t have enough to think about already! For many Disney travelers, cost is probably the MAIN determining factor in choosing where to stay, and I have to admit – I am in that group too – I want a price point that won’t break the bank. Luckily, Disney World offers a group of Value Resort Hotels that has that lower price tag, but still come with some awesome benefits and amenities! Read on for our picks for Top 3 Disney World Value Resorts – And WHY They Are The Best!

Pop Century Resort: The theme here is pop culture throughout the different decades – so the buildings/rooms/pools are themed after a different decade – spanning from the 1950’s to 1990’s. You’ll find giant icons of pop culture all around the Resort – from Mr & Mrs PotatoHead, to roller blades and mood rings. It’s so fun getting to watch the little ones inquire to their parents about these things and then hear them laugh when their parents say they had that toy when THEY were kids (plus – they are learning something while on vacation too – which is never a bad thing!). The 1960’s “Hippy Dippy” Pool is fun for all, and just strolling around the Resort and taking in all the different memorabilia is an awesome time, too! The food served here is delicious – all Value Resorts have a “food court” style dining area, and at Pop Century they offer some unique eats like Tie-Dye Cheesecake, create your own salad, pot roast, meatloaf – and much much more

All Star Sports: Sports lovers everywhere will love the larger than life theme here – with a huge football field, a tennis court where Donald squares off against Huey, Dewey, and Louie (a personal favorite of my son – he thought these were the best and demanded to visit them every time we went by!), and a surf themed pool, and another that’s baseball themed (complete with a Goofy fountain that squirts swimmers! The “End Zone” Food Court offers plenty of snacks and meals for hungry sports fans – pizza, chicken wings, bacon mac & cheese and much more (and plenty of healthy options, too!). There are also All Star Movie and Music themed Resorts – but I have to say, I prefer the All Star Sports Resort over the other 2 – the theme is on point, and the kids love it, and even someone like me – who is NOT a sports fan, can enjoy the theme and Resort overall!

Art of Animation Resort: This is Disney’s newest Value Resort, and it is themed after the amazing animation of Disney films throughout the years – four areas, each themed after a Disney Movie: The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Cars, and Finding Nemo. Three of the four sections offer only family suites – which include a separate bedroom and then an area for the kiddos to crash in the living space, and it’s really perfect for bigger families who want more space to spread out than a traditional Hotel room offers. The Little Mermaid section offers standard rooms, and all rooms throughout the whole Resort are themed after their respective movies, as are the common and shared areas. The “Dropoff” pool here is Finding Nemo themed – and you can hear different fish and sea creature noises coming from the underwater speakers of this HUGE family-friendly pool. The “Landscape of Flavors” Food Court here is truly unique – from a vegan seitan scramble to create your own pasta to smoothies (and smoothie bowls!) – they really stepped it up with their menu, and to me that’s the best part of staying here

With so many Resorts to choose from, hopefully our experiences and picks can help you narrow it down and pick a place that you will come to love, too!
