The Two Best Treats We Tried On Our Most Recent Epic Universe Adventure
A weekend at Epic Universe means making some tough snack decisions, but after tasting our way through Celestial Park, two desserts rose above the rest. Whether you’re looking to cool off on a hot Florida afternoon or satisfy a serious sweet tooth, The Frosted Owl and Captain Cacao’s Starlight Voyage are two treats we’d happily order again.

Our first stop was Frosty Moon, home of The Frosted Owl. This frozen creation layers chocolate hazelnut and vanilla ice cream with marshmallow topping, graham cracker crumbs, and a giant toasted marshmallow, all served in an adorable souvenir owl cup. It’s essentially a s’more transformed into an ice cream sundae, and it absolutely delivers. The flavors blend together beautifully, but it’s also incredibly rich. We split one between two people, and it was the perfect amount. Our only advice is to dig in quickly because the Florida heat doesn’t give this dessert much time before it starts melting.
Our second favorite was Captain Cacao’s Starlight Voyage from Satellite Shakes, the hidden pickup window attached to Meteor Astropub. Blink and you might miss it, but seeking it out is well worth the effort. This handcrafted shake combines rich chocolate with marshmallow, blackberry syrup, praline crunch, chocolate whipped topping, and Captain Cacao’s signature chocolate hat. It’s one of the most beautifully assembled milkshakes we’ve seen in a theme park.

The Captain Cacao shake did divide our group a bit. Our biggest chocolate lover wasn’t a fan of the blackberry syrup, preferring a more traditional chocolate shake. For the rest of us, though, that fruity note balanced the richness perfectly and made every sip more interesting. The handcrafted presentation elevates it beyond just another milkshake, making it feel like an edible piece of art.
If we had to rank them, The Frosted Owl is the easier recommendation for almost everyone, especially families looking to share a refreshing dessert. Captain Cacao’s Starlight Voyage is the more adventurous choice, rewarding guests who are open to an unexpected flavor combination with one of the most memorable shakes in the park.
