New Magic on the Wildest Ride in the Wilderness

Get ready to hold on to your hats, because Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is coming back in 2026 with some brand-new tricks up its sleeve. The story goes back to the Golden Times of America’s first major gold rush, led by a fella named Barnabas T. Bullion. But his get-rich-quick dreams came with a cost, as the mountain itself started fighting back. We’re talking strange happenings, failed machines, and cave-ins!

When the ride reopens, we’ll see exactly how wild things can get. The runaway trains will take us deep into new areas, including the stunning Rainbow Caverns, which will be full of glowing, phosphorescent pools. They may look pretty, but don’t get too comfortable, that low rumble means the mountain isn’t exactly welcoming us with open arms. It’s a shiny new layer on a classic ride, and we can’t wait to see what other surprises are in store.
The Electric Mayhem Takes Over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

In 2026, Hollywood Studios is about to get a whole lot more rocking and rolling with the arrival of The Muppets. The Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is getting a makeover, and it’s all centered around the one-night-only concert of the iconic Electric Mayhem. The only problem? The band is missing! We’ll get a VIP tour of G-Force Records, now under new, very Muppet-y management as we try to get the band on stage for their fans.

The ride will have a new, psychedelic design inspired by a classic Muppet car, with a golden key on the piano motif as a nod to bandleader Dr. Teeth. We’ll find the band members inside the recording studio, jamming out with their penguin audio engineers, as Scooter tries to get them to the show. From there, we’ll hop in a super-fast limo with the help of Muppet Labs for a wild, twisting trip across Hollywood, all set to the most iconic rocking tunes from the Electric Mayhem.
Zootopia Joins the Herd at Animal Kingdom

Big news for Zootopia fans: the all-new 4D show, Zootopia: Better Zoogether!, is officially opening on November 7 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Located in the Tree of Life Theater, the show will celebrate “Zoogether Day,” a city-wide festival of unity.
The show will be a livestream watch party of the festivities, hosted by a new character, Heidi Howler. We’ll get to see ice-skating spectaculars from Tundratown, synchronized swimming from Marsh Market, and a musical finale from superstar Gazelle. Plus, the original voice actors for Judy and Nick, Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman, are returning to lend their talents to the show. After you see the show, you can even meet Judy and Nick themselves at a new character greeting spot on Discovery Island, where they’ll be sporting new looks from the upcoming Zootopia 2. It’s a wild reminder that we’re all interconnected, no matter where we come from.
