There are some great reasons for taking a child under three to Disney World. One such reason is that they get into the parks for FREE! Another great reason is that you can basically feed them for free as well.
The Disney Dining Plan is only available to those that are 3-years old and up. Children ages 3-9 are required to order from the children’s menu when one is available. This is because there is a price difference between the children’s and the adult dining plan. Now, what does this mean for your little one that hasn’t yet turned three?
There are a few different options…
- If your toddler really eats a lot and you know that they will make it worth your while, by finishing a whole meal, you can pay for a kid’s meal out of pocket.
- You can share with your little one. When we travel to Disney World we purchase the Deluxe Dining plan which includes three meals and two snacks per person per night of your stay. At table service restaurants for lunch and dinner these meals include an appetizer, an entrée, and a dessert. That’s A LOT of food. So, you can easily share with your little one. This will also help you to be able to have room for all of those delicious snacks out there that only require a snack credit.
- You can do buffets and all-you-care-to-enjoy (family style) restaurants where your little one can have their own plate without before charged.
- You can also bring food into the parks for your little one.
There are countless amazing culinary adventures to be had at Disney World, and your little one can surely take part in them with you. Contact your favorite travel professional to get started planning your journey to the culinary mecca that is Disney World!
