What Are The Dates For This Year’s Food & Wine Festival?

One of the most popular times to visit Walt Disney World is each year is during the Food & Wine Festival. Each Fall, Epcot is magically transformed into a foodie’s paradise with a global marketplace brimming with wonderful dishes from around the World. There are also seminars and workshops hosted by leading culinary talents from around the world, special VIP tasting events and family activities like a scavenger hunt themed after the Pixar film Ratatouille and so much more!

The dates for this 2018 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival are August 30th – November 12, 2018. Here is a closer look at some of the amazing activities you’ll find during this event.

Dozens of Incredible Food Booths at the Global Marketplace – One of the things we love the most about the Food & Wine Festival are the eclectic array of food booths that spring up in the World Showcase and Future World offering nearly every entree, cocktail or dessert your heart desires. Disney has yet to release details or menus for this year’s festival but we’ve got a feeling it will be bigger and better than ever. If you’re heading to Disney this Fall be sure to set aside at least a day to sample drinks and cuisine from around the World!

Eat to the Beat Concert Series – Each Fall, Epcot welcomes an impressive array of musicians from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and beyond to entertain guests during the Festival. This free concert series runs nightly at the World Showcase’s American Pavilion and is the perfect way to relax, unwind and dance the night away. Some of this year’s acts include Tiffany, Sugar Ray, Air Supply, Smash Mout, Hanson and Kenny G.

NEW Sunday Brunch With Chefs Series – In what is sure to be the talked about Food & Wine Festival Event of the Season, starting on September 2nd the World ShowPlace will place host to this exciting new brunch offering. The first event will feature Top Chef All-Star Richard Blais and will continue on select Sundays through November 11. Other notable personalities expected to attend include Jamie Dean, Tiffani Thiessen, Masaharu Morimoto, Buddy Valastro, Art Smith, Geoffrey Zakarian, Carla Alex Guarnaschelli.

Culinary Demonstrations and Seminars – The Food & Wine Festival is a food lover’s dream and offers incredible opportunities to broaden your culinary knowledge. Whether it’s expanding your palate via the incredible wine or cheese seminars, learning some tricks of the trade from some of the world’s leading culinary talents or trying out your skills with a hands-on-workshop, the possibilities are endless!

Party for the Senses – Those lucky enough to attend one of these exclusive soirees won’t forget this magical evening filled with decadent food, sinful cocktails, entertainment and a chance to rub shoulders with some of the World’s leading culinary talents. During this event, guests can enjoy dishes from a wide array of tasting stations while live music and fun theming help set the tone. Each party is also emceed by a special guest.

Culinary Adventures Around Walt Disney World Resort – Each year during the Food & Wine Festival, Disney will offer Signature Dining Events which carry the spirit of the Epcot Food & Wine Festival out to Walt Disney World’s fantastic resorts with Fine Dining Experiences that are designed to wow. On select days throughout the Festival, many of the Signature Dining Locations found at Disney’s incredible Deluxe resorts will serve up expertly designed culinary offerings complimented with a selection of wines, beers and spirits.

Is there a cost to attend the Food & Wine Festival? – Guests can take part in many of the culinary events listed above as part of your Epcot theme park ticket. Signature dining events and Party for the Senses do require an additional fee. What resorts are best to stay at during the Food & Wine Festival? Any of Walt Disney World’s 25+ onsite resort properties offer transportation to and from all of the Food & Wine Festival events. However, for those wanting to be as close as possible to the action, I recommend one of the three amazing Epcot resort area hotels. Not only are these deluxe properties Disney accommodation at its finest but they are a 5-minute walk to the World Showcase where most of the culinary action takes place. These properties are Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s Boardwalk Inn.
