FastPass+ System Explained
Quick background on Disney’s FastPass+ system: Each guest is allowed to choose three FastPass+ selections for one park each day of your visit in advance. After you use those three, you can use the My Disney Experience app to select additional FastPasses.
FastPass times are in increments of one hour and they cannot overlap. Some guests choose to have an hour or so between their FastPass times. Where other guests want those FastPasses to be right after each other. When planning your FastPasses, don’t forget you will need to eat and you will need time to get from one attraction to the next.
What Happens if I am Late For my FastPass?
If you are running late and your FastPass time is up you are given a 15-minute window past that time to get there. Disney understands that you may be stuck in crowds or a previous ride had issues so they built in this fifteen-minute window. However, once the fifteen minutes has passed you cannot use that FastPass.
What Happens if I am Early For my FastPass?
You can hop on that ride five minutes ahead of your time! So if you find yourself infront of the ride early, it’s not a problem!
Bottom line, FastPass planning is important but Disney understands that running late happens, just don’t be too late 🙂
