Question:  What is Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake and Where Can I Find It?

Answer:  Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake is an irresistible dessert that is like a cookie consistency with chocolate chips, toffee bits and a warm ooey gooey center, topped with ice cream.  It can be found at Liberty Tree Tavern in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.

Nestled  in Liberty Square at the Magic Kingdom is quaint restaurant named Liberty Tree Tavern.  This restaurant takes you back to the colonial age with is candlelight and rustic wood embrace.  This hidden gem is a remarkable find!  I can not begin to tell you how thrilled my family has been with our meals here!  Traditional fare includes:  pot roast, roasted turkey and New England clam chowder during the lunch seating.  These are just a few of menu choices.

This dessert is what ultimately (in my opinion) sets this restaurant apart from the others!  Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake is a “must – do” on our trips to Walt Disney World!  This delectable dessert can only be found on the lunch menu.  It is a combination of cookie, chocolate chip, toffee and ice cream bliss.  It’s warmth and sweetness keeps you coming back for more!  In fact, I have never experienced this type of dessert anywhere else in the world!  It is simply amazing!

After recent conversations with cast members, I have found out that guests will visit Liberty Tree Tavern just for this dessert! I recommend a reservation at this restaurant during the lunch time seating to experience the restaurant at a whole.  I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Now, onto bringing Walt Disney World Desserts home with you!  This dessert has become a staple at my home.  When special occasions arise or we go to visit friends, this dessert is always requested!  I have included the recipe below!  It is very easy and you are sure to be asked time and time again to bring it with you!

Remember, this dessert can only be found on the lunch menu at Liberty Tree Tavern in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.  If you would like to experience this dessert, you will need to make a reservation.  I highly recommend making this reservation 180 days out, as this is a table service restaurant.  Most of all, next time you are in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, be sure to stop in and have lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern and don’t forget the dessert! It’s delicious!
