If you are a true Disneyland fan, taking a Disneyland tour should definitely be on your Disney Bucket List! Most guests aren’t aware that tours of the park even exist. As of right now, there are 4 tours offered at Disneyland, though some are seasonal. Let’s take a look at these tours and ways you can go behind the scenes at Disneyland!
Walk in Walt’s Disneyland Footsteps
The Walk in Walt’s Disneyland Footsteps tour is the only tour being offered right now at Disneyland park. This tour gives guests a historical look at the life and achievements of Walt Disney and an opportunity to learn what inspired him to create Disneyland. It lasts roughly 3.5 hours and includes a catered lunch, collectible pin, tour button, and a visit to Walt Disney’s apartment above the Main Street Firehouse.
Your guide might also take you on some attractions. When I took the tour, we got to experience 3 attractions in the park. The tour of Walt’s apartment is what makes this tour all the more worth it in my opinion! The guides offer to take photos of you in the apartment to capture the memory. As of Feb 20, 2020, this tour cost $105 per person plus tax.
The Grand Circle Tour
The Grand Circle Tour is not operating right now but is scheduled to return Spring 2020. During this tour, guests will discover Walt Disney’s passion for trains, and learn about how trains impacted his dreams-from animation to theme parks. This is a 2-hour tour and offers an exclusive donut, coffee and cocoa reception, limited edition Lilly Belle Ticket, tour credential, and exclusive Disneyland Railroad map. Guests get to ride in the special Lilly Belle train car, which is named after Walt’s wife, Lillian. This tour is a bucket-list must if you are a Disney and/or train fan! Pricing is not available for this tour right now.
Disney’s Happiest Haunts Tour
This spooky tour is only offered during Halloweentime at the Disneyland Resort and will return in September 2020. While leading ghoul-loving guests from park to park, this 2.5-hour guided tour explores Halloween by conjuring ghost stories, tricks, treats and even an encounter with one of the Haunted Mansion’s most familiar faces. Guests will receive a collectible pin, tour button, exclusive photo opportunity, and a Disneyland Resort sweet treat. This tour is perfect for the Halloween fan in your life! The price for this tour is $99 plus tax per person.
Holiday Time at the Disneyland Resort Tour
This tour is only offered during the Holidays at Disneyland. It will return to the park in November 2020. Guests will hear enchanting tales of the holidays from around the world, as well as holiday stories from Disneyland’s past. This is a festive tour of both parks that offers a close-up look at the park’s dazzling seasonal transformation. It is a 3-hour tour and guests will receive a collectible pin, tour button, souvenir hot beverage mug, a Disneyland Resort sweet treat, and exclusive reserved seating for “A Christmas Fantasy” parade. Pricing is $99 plus tax per person.
All tours can be booked starting 30 days before the tour date by calling (714) 781-TOUR. Full payment is due at the time of booking and is non-refundable. Same day bookings can be made at the Disneyland Tour Gardens Kiosk-availability permitting.
