January 10, 2016 is the last day Big Thunder Ranch BBQ will be serving lunch and dinner. This all-you-care-to-enjoy chicken and ribs dining experience located on the trail where Frontierland meets Fantasyland has had a fan following for years. Always entertaining, a variety of singers and story-tellers have delighted guests and kept them coming back for more. But reservations are filling up fast. If you’re planning to say goodbye, like I just did, this is your last chance.
Making way for Star Wars Land, the entire area of Big Thunder Ranch is closing. A campaign called #savethedisneylandgoats swept fan sites and blogs when the closure was announced. Don’t worry about the goats, though. A Cast Member with a farm has adopted them. As for the fate of Miss Chris’s Cabin, an authentic log cabin built on Walt Disney’s direction, is still unknown. Sources say that it will not be demolished, but disassembled. Many hope to see Miss Chris’s Cabin where it can be enjoyed by Disney Addicts again.
