Universal Orlando Resort is gearing up for the grand opening of its newest addition, Epic Universe, in 2025. Guests who are familiar with Universal Orlando Resort may be left wondering where exactly this new park will be located, as there does not seem to be enough space in the area immediately around Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure to construct an all-new theme park. Let’s dig into the location of Epic Universe, as well as what we know about this ambitious new theme park!

Epic universe will not be located adjacent to the existing theme parks. The ambitious new park is being constructed near the Orange County Convention Center, just south of Sand Lake Road and east of Universal Boulevard. This places the location of Epic Universe approximately 12 minutes away from the main Universal Orlando Resort site. Spanning a whopping 750 acres, Epic Universe is set to become the largest Universal park in the United States, nearly doubling Universal’s total available acreage.
Universal Orlando Resort will provide transportation between Epic Universe and its existing properties, ensuring a seamless experience for guests. Adding to the excitement, Epic Universe will introduce three new hotels to the Universal Resort hotel offerings:
- Universal Helios Grand Hotel: Positioned inside Epic Universe at the end of Celestial Park, this in-park hotel is inspired by the Mediterranean and features cosmic characteristics throughout its decor. With 500 guest rooms and its own entrance into the theme park, Helios Grand Hotel offers an unparalleled stay.
- Universal Stella Nova Resort: Opening on January 21, 2025, this 750-room hotel draws inspiration from distant galaxies and new stars. The teal and purple celestial oasis even boasts a black hole vortex porte-cochère.
- Universal Terra Luna Resort: Scheduled to open on February 25, 2025, Terra Luna is adorned in gold and green, reflecting the diverse and awe-inspiring elements of the universe. It will offer 750 tranquil guest rooms in the resort’s Prime Value category.
The land that will be located at the heart of Epic Universe is Celestial Park, which will serve not only as the entrance to the park but also the gateway to its themed lands. With an astronomical and mythological theme, Celestial Park features waterways, pathways, and architecture that capture the imagination. Key attractions include Starfall Racers, a dual-launch racing coaster; Constellation Carousel, a unique carousel ride through the Milky Way; and Astronomica, an interactive wet-play area.
Epic Universe will feature five themed lands in addition to Celestial Park, each offering a unique experience:
- The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic: Blending elements from the “Fantastic Beasts” films and the original “Harry Potter” series, this land will transport guests to 1920s Wizarding Paris and the British Ministry of Magic.
- Super Nintendo World: Following its success in other Universal parks, this land will immerse guests in the worlds of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Donkey Kong, featuring attractions like the Donkey Kong Coaster and an interactive Mario Kart experience.
- How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk: Inspired by the film franchise, this land offers a world of Viking adventures and dragon experiences.
- Dark Universe: Focused on Universal’s classic monster films, this land will feature the experiments of Dr. Victoria Frankenstein and other legendary monsters, making it a hit with Halloween Horror Nights fans as well as fans of the classic Universal monsters.
