Are you a Star Wars fan? If you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World and visiting before August 29, 2019, you may be wondering where you can meet all of your favorite characters. To start, you will see many of your favorite Star Wars characters at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. While not all of them are available for meet and greets, there are shows and opportunities available to see all of your favorites.
Character Meet and Greets
To meet some of your favorite Star Wars characters, you will want to visit Star Wars Launch Bay. Here, you will find three different Star Wars characters available for meet and greets. In Chewbacca, Kylo Ren and BB-8 each have designated areas where they meet guests. If you have a Disney Visa, you will also have access to special meet and greet with Kylo Ren, which often has a shorter line. In addition, you may encounter Stormtroopers throughout the Star Wars Launch Bay. They may even question you about your involvement with the Resistance!
Shows and Attractions
In addition to the meet and greets available, there are several great shows and attractions for guests who love Star Wars. One of the most popular shows for kids who love Star Wars is the Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple. This show allows kids ages 4-12 to participate and learn the ways of the Jedi. Then, they must apply their training as they come face-to-face with the Dark Side and some of the most infamous villains from Star Wars. If you have young Jedis interested in participating, be sure to stop by the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost to register as soon as the park opens. Availability is limited and is first-come, first-serve.
The next show is the March of the First Order. Watch Captain Phasma lead her powerful Stormtroopers up Hollywood Boulevard. This show is done several times a day. In addition, you can also find Storm Troopers roaming in certain areas of the park, including Star Wars Launch Bay.
Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away is a live show that takes place on Hollywood Boulevard throughout the day. It brings to life many classic moments from the Star Wars movies and features many characters including Darth Vader, Kylo Ren, Rey, Chewbacca and more!
Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular is a fireworks show featuring pyrotechnics and projection effects that include some of the most memorable moments from the Star Wars saga.
Currently, there is one Star Wars-themed ride at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. On Star Tours – The Adventures Continue, guests board their Starspeeder 1000, a flight simulator featuring digital 3D video. They take off on an adventure through the galaxy, trying to avoid the First Order with help from some iconic Star Wars characters including C-3PO.
Star Wars: Path of the Jedi is a short film telling the Star Wars story from the very beginning. It includes hints of what may be to come, with all of your favorite characters, heroes and villains.
Coming Soon!
