Last week, for (what felt like) the first time in forever, Disney World lit up the sky with fireworks! Guests were overjoyed to welcome back Magic Kingdom’s Happily Ever After Fireworks Show, and EPCOT Forever is again lighting up the sky at EPCOT. Perhaps even more exciting is the news that both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT parks will be debuting brand new nighttime shows for the big 50th-anniversary celebration starting October 1! Some of us aren’t exactly sure when our next trip to Disney World will be and are already having major FOMO about all the special celebrations. Wouldn’t it be awesome if Disney + would include recordings of theme park fireworks, parades, and special celebrations?
Seriously, there are just times when watching a while Disney fireworks show start to finish is in order, and I’d love to be able to watch my favorites on Disney +! What about some of our old favorite shows? I would love to be able to watch all of the nostalgic shows of Disney’s past. I absolutely loved the Main Street Electrical Parade growing up! Wishes: A Magical Gathering of Disney Dreams is also a show near and dear to many of our hearts. It would be awesome to have all of our favorite shows in one place to enjoy over and over again.
It would also be great to include parades and other special celebrations on Disney + so that viewers who may not be able to make it in person can experience some of the magic at home. Disney parades, shows, and celebrations are just so magical, I’m sure the content would be very popular! Disney + currently includes a special pre-recorded viewing of the Disneyland Paris show, Disney Illuminations. Why not add more popular shows too? I would absolutely love to see all of the fireworks and nighttime shows from every Disney park around the world!
One thing is certain, Disney will be pulling out all the stops for the 50th-anniversary celebrations starting October 1. While we already know about the two brand new nighttime shows, we are sure there will be many other surprises and celebrations as well.
