Throughout Walt Disney World, one of the most magical locations is in EPCOT: SeaBase. It may come to your surprise that many people have no idea that EPCOT has an enormous aquarium filled with a massive variety of sea creatures. When speed-walking to the World Showcase or Test Track, SeaBase can often be forgotten about. Next time you step into EPCOT, make sure you set aside a minimum of 10 minutes of your day to witness the remarkable work accomplished by Walt Disney World, its brilliant Cast Members, and dedicated Marine Biologists.
You can find a vast assortment of animals throughout the aquarium, but some highlights include Bottlenose Dolphins, Manatees, Turtles (Green and Loggerhead Sea Turtles!), Sharks, Rays, and beautiful Tropical Fish! Visiting these creatures is not only exciting but educational as well. The Walt Disney Company emphasizes their passion for conservation, not only at SeaBase but at Animal Kingdom as well. Each one of these locations is a teaching moment in hopes to educate our youth about the importance of our environment as well as how we can give back to the world around us.
A great way to enter SeaBase is heading to ‘The Seas with Nemo & Friends‘. This ride seamlessly merges the captivating world of Finding Nemo with the mesmerizing allure of the ocean. Discover a world of magic beyond Walt Disney World and the silver screen, simply head to the coast – Nemo, Dory, Marlin, Crush and all your friends will be waiting for you there! Helping kids and adults alike connect with the ocean is just one of this aquarium’s many important jobs. If you’ve somehow passed by this wonderful attraction, make it a point to visit on your next visit. Maybe grab a reservation at Coral Reef Restaurant if you’d like a fantastic dining experience under the sea.
