Since Walt Disney World‘s reopening in July guests have not been permitted to park hop. The suspension of the park hopper feature is especially difficult for Disney’s Annual Passholders, who basically pay for the option yet are unable to use it. Many guests enjoy the ability to start off the day in one park, and head over to another for the evening. For now, guests are only permitted to visit one park per day, with a valid ticket and park reservation. Our big question is, “when will Disney bring back park hopping?”
Good things could very well be on the horizon in regards to being able to visit more than one park per day. Disney is currently selling park hopper tickets beginning January 1, 2021! While this definitely gives us hope, we also know Disney theme park reservations still must be made in advance, and currently, only one park reservation per day is permitted. What does this mean? Well, we are all hoping that at a later date, Disney will begin to allow for more than one park reservation per day.
What could multiple park reservations look like? One idea is that perhaps Disney will allow guests to make an AM reservation and a PM reservation. This would mean guests could start the morning off at one park, and head to another in the afternoon. While this would still require some planning ahead of time, guests could once again enjoy more than one park per day. Park hours would also likely have to be extended to allow guests the time to visit more than one park per day.
It definitely looks like hopping will be back in 2021, and with all of the amazing experiences and attractions coming to Walt Disney World Resort for the 50th Anniversary Celebration, it will be a great time for guests to visit multiple parks per day. While of course, everything is subject to change depending on how things are going with the Covid 19 pandemic, we can all remain hopeful. One thing is certain, there is so much to look forward to coming to Walt Disney World in 2021!
