If you belong to Disney groups, you’ve heard the term, “drinking around the world“. What exactly does this mean? The phrase “drinking around the world” refers to drinking adult beverages in every country in EPCOT’s World Showcase. There are 11 countries, so this activity is not for the faint of heart! If you are not a big drinker or used to the Florida heat, I suggest skipping some pavilions or opting for snacks in lieu of drinks! Choosing drinks can get very overwhelming, so I’m going to share my favorite 5 with you! Keep in mind I prefer sweet, fruity drinks, so these might not be for everyone.
Avocado Margarita- I know, this sounds strange if you’ve never tried it, but it’s delicious! This blended margarita can be found inside the Mexico pyramid at La Cava del Tequila. Don’t be scared of the avocado, this margarita also has melon liqueur and is sweet and tasty. I’ve tried countless margaritas from La Cava, and I always come back to this one.
Violet Sake- Violet Sake is my absolute favorite drink in all of Walt Disney World. It can be found at Garden House, a kiosk in the Japan pavilion. It is very sweet, but also refreshing. This drink is an absolute must-have for me every trip!
Schofferhofer Grapefruit Beer- Now, to preface this, I am not a huge beer drinker, but I love this beer! This beer is light, sweet, and refreshing. It is found at multiple kiosks throughout the Germany pavilion. I even tracked it down at a local beverage store and bought some for home!
The Frose Slush- I absolutely love the La Vie en Rose Slush usually served at festival booths in the France pavilion. When this slush is not available, I head into Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie for the Frose slush.
The Welsh Dragon- Every time I order one of these delicious drinks I am stopped by guests wanting to know what it is! The Welsh Dragon is a melon-flavored fruity drink served at Rose & Crown in the UK pavilion. It is another drink that I absolutely must have every trip!
I’m thirtsty just looking at these amazing beverages! Next time you are visiting EPCOT, be sure to try one, two, or all five of these! Thank God for Disney transportation…
