We’ve just started a new month and you know what that means!?- Disney has just unveiled a wonderful array of August eats that you’ll find on both coasts! From new menu items that are sure to please, new brunch and breakfast offers and even a new food truck, we are excited to give you a sneak peek at the culinary happenings at Disneyland and Disney World. So if you’re heading to the parks this month, bring your appetites and be sure to give some of these August bites a try!
Cheesy Dog – Casey’s Corner – Magic Kingdom – Walt Disney World – Disney World has unveiled their August hot dog of the month and it’s a doozy! We give you the Cheesy Dog. This all-beef hot dog is topped with queso, cheddar and seasoned cheese puffs!
Bacon Mac and Cheese Flatbread – Pinocchio Village Haus – Magic Kingdom- Walt Disney World – One of our favorite places to grab a quick service bite is at this Fantasyland eatery. We recommend the Flatbread of the Month. August’s offering is covered with mac and cheese and topped with bacon. It’s the ultimate comfort food on a busy theme park day!
Pub Tots – The Friar’s Nook- Magic Kingdom – Walt Disney World – While you’re in Fantasyland you may also want to stop by The Friar’s Nook for another comforting dish. These tater tots are covered with beer cheese, bacon and chives. If you want a more filling meal you can also get the Brats and Tots. This dish is made up of bratwurst that comes topped with sauerkraut and is served with potato barrels.
Stow Away Mary – Refreshment Port – Epcot – Walt Disney World –Here’s another delicious libation to add to your Epcot drinking list. This classic Bloody Mary comes with vodka, and is garnished with pimento-stuffed olives, a cherry tomato, celery a jumbo shrimp and smokehouse jerky!
Macaroni and Cheese All-Beef Foot Long Hot Dog- Liberty Inn – Epcot – Walt Disney World –Eat your heart out Casey’s Corner! There’s now another great spot to order up tasty foot-long hot dogs- The American Adventure Pavilion in Epcot. This delicious hot dog is loaded up with mac and cheese and topped with bacon for the ultimate afternoon treat.
Stuffed Pretzels – Pretzel Cart – Epcot – Walt Disney World – If you’re a pretzel fan than you’ll love the filled varieties being served up near Test Track. Options include Cream Cheese, Jalapeno Cheese and Salted Carmel. Each come toasty warm!
Lunch Is Now Being Served – STK – Disney Springs – Walt Disney World – This much loved Disney Springs eatery has announced that they will be serving lunch from 11 am – 2:30pm on Monday- Friday and brunch 11am – 3pm on Saturday and Sunday. Appetizers include an Heirloom Tomato and Burrata Salad, Tuna Tartare and Crispy Rock Shrimp. A raw bar is also available serving up Oysters, Shrimp Cocktails, Ceviche and Alaskan King Crab. There will also be a wide range of Main Courses including steaks, sandwiches and burgers like the Linz Angus Burger pictured above. This meaty treat comes topped with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and is served with a side of chips. Other amazing side dishes include Parmesan Truffle Fries, Lobster Mac and Cheese and Grilled Trumpet Royale Mushrooms.
4R Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck – Disney Springs Marketplace – Walt Disney World – There’s a new food truck in town! Coming in late August the menu items will be inspired by the culinary culture of Mexico City. Dishes will include Taco Cones and Burrito Bowls. They will be filled with signature 4-Rivers meats such as brisket and pulled pork prepared using barbacoa techniques. The truck will also offer vegetarian options like the Squash Blossom Burrito and delicious desserts like the Dulce de Leche Churro Balls!
Fish Taco Plate – Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill – Disney California Adventure Park – Moving over to the West Coast we are pretty excited about this Pacific Wharf offering. It comes with corn tortillas, citrus cabbage slaw, mango habanero sauce, cilantro-lime rice and black beans.
Breakfast is Now Being Served – River Belle Terrace- Disneyland – This is a bit of Disney news that has us pretty darn excited. River Belle Terrace in Disneyland is now serving up a delicious array of breakfast items! From your spot on the shaded terrace, you can enjoy an array of delicious menu items including Monkey Bread with pecan butter, candied pecans and powdered sugar, Country Biscuits and Gray, Becky Thatcher’s Fried Green Tomato, or even a Short Rib Skillet with sunny-side-up eggs, signature potatoes, onions, peppers and Texas toast. And of course there will be Mickey Pancakes with maple syrup, whipped butter, and season berries served with chicken sausage or Applewood smoked bacon. Reservations for this new AM offering are expected to fill up quickly. They can be made 60-days in advance by calling 714.781.3463.
