I am staying off property for my visit to Walt Disney World.  Can I get a MagicBand.

Yes!  You can get a MagicBand if you stay off property.  The only difference will be that when stay off property, you have to purchase a MagicBand for yourself and anyone else in your party.  If you stay at an On Site Walt Disney World Resort, a MagicBand will be provided for you and everyone on your reservation.  Anyone can purchase a MagicBand for $12.95.  The Disney Store online is even selling them now.  Please keep in mind that Disney does not require you to purchase one.  Click HERE to read and in depth article on Chip and Co.

  1. So, if I buy one for everyone in my family and link all of them to my Disney experience, will I be able to use just mine to get fast passes for everyone at a kiosk? I know I can preload fast passes at home but just wonder if I need everyone there at the kiosk when I try to get more once at the park?

  2. Hi Kurt! You should be able to make the selections for all of the guests that are linked to you on My Disney Experience. You shouldn’t need the guests with you at the kiosks.
