Q: When will 2017 Disneyland packages go on-sale?
A: Unless you’ve been living in a Disney-less vacuum, you’ve no doubt heard the news that 2017 Walt Disney World packages went on sale just three short weeks ago on June 21, 2016. As Disney fans from coast to coast started to hash out their 2017 vacation plans, our friends on the West Coast quickly found themselves left out come the June 21st release date. As a matter of fact, if you currently log onto Disneyland.com you’ll find that West Coast offerings are only bookable through the end of December 2016.
So when can Disneyland planners begin to make their bookings for 2017? If you’re sick of watching Walt Disney World vacationers have all the fun please know that your day is coming, and perhaps even sooner than you thought. A Cast Member earlier today confirmed that Disneyland packages would open up on Tuesday August 2, 2016 for dates throughout 2017. That’s good news for those wanting to lock in next year’s summer plans before another hectic school year begins.
With so many exciting happenings at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park, there’s never been a better to time to go! Be awed by Disney’s dazzling Paint the Night parade. See Arendelle’s famous sisters take to the stage at Frozen Live at the Hyperion. Enjoy the return of the much-loved Soarin’ attraction now featuring famous landscapes from around the globe. Go for a spin on the new Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters at Cars Land. These are just a few of the ways that you can spend your Disney days.
If Walt Disney World’s release dates are anything to go by, early-bookers should expect to pay non-discounted rates when 2017 Disneyland package are released with discounts opening up nearer to your travel dates. Also, Walt Disney World has a 499 day booking policy meaning that even when 2017 rates opened up, if visitors wanted to travel during dates more than 499 days away you need to wait until you hit your 499 day window. This means that those hoping to visit Disneyland in November or December may have to shine it out a bit longer.
Planners should note that Disney may make changes to release dates or availability. Watch this space for any further developments regarding 2017 packages. As soon as any official information is released by Disney you’ll be the first to know.
