One thing that sets Walt Disney World Resort apart from other theme parks is Disney’s ability to completely immerse guests in a themed experience. Instead of feeling like you are inside an amusement park, Disney makes you feel like you are literally in another world. At Disney, you will even find meticulously themed restaurants! Some of these may not have gourmet food, but the amazing and immersive theming makes up for it! Here are 5 of my all-time favorite themed restaurants at Disney World.
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater
This restaurant inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park allows guests to dine in a retro car-shaped booth in a darkened atmosphere with old sci-fi movie clips playing on big screens. Guests really feel like they have been transported back to an old drive-in theater! The cuisine is nothing fancy, mainly burgers and sandwiches, but the atmosphere and theming are what make this restaurant a fan favorite!
Oga’s Cantina
So while this location might not be an actual restaurant (it’s more of a place for drinks and possibly a light snack) there’s no denying it is one of the most immersive themed restaurants throughout all of Disney. Located inside Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park, guests are transported into a replica of the famous Star Wars watering hole.
Biergarten
Located in the Germany Pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase, Biergarten has guests believing they are outside celebrating Oktoberfest in Germany! The whole restaurant is set up to replicate what it would be like to really visit Germany during Oktoberfest, complete with a German band playing live music! Of course, the German all-you-care-to-eat food is also delicious. This location not only has great theming but also gives a fun and memorable experience.
Cinderella’s Royal Table
Ever wonder what it’s like to be inside Cinderella Castle? To find out, all you have to do is book a dining reservation at Cinderella’s Royal Table! No extra theming is really needed to create the ambiance here, as it is literally right inside of a real castle! This restaurant features signature dining and books up fast! Guests are even greeted by Cinderella herself!
Be Our Guest
Be Our Guest is hands down one of the best themed restaurants at Disney World. Located in Fantasyland inside Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park, Be Our Guests gives diners the opportunity to dine in The Beast’s castle. The attention to detail went above and beyond when designing this restaurant. The dining rooms look like they came directly from a movie set. The Beast himself even makes rounds to say hi to his guests!
