Fall is one of my absolute favorite times to visit Walt Disney World. While there’s no time I don’t love Disney World, there is something special about visiting during “spooky season”. Here are just a few reasons you should consider a trip to the house of mouse this Fall.
The Temperature
For weeks and weeks, we’ve seen guests comment about the unbearable Florida heat at the parks. July and August can be absolutely brutal, and if you’re not used to such high temperatures summer may not be the best time to visit. During the Fall months, while temperatures can still be hot, they usually drop to more comfortable levels.
Halloween Festivities
This year is super exciting because Fall 2022 marks the return of Mickey’s-Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! This special ticketed event takes place at Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park on select evenings and is a Halloween extravaganza with special food and drink items, characters, and a special Halloween parade. This will be the first year since Disney reopened after Covid closure that this special event is taking place.
Crowds
Once September hits and most children are back in school we do see the crowds at Disney die down. This means the parks are easier to navigate, wait times shorten, and Virtual Queues are easier to come by. Disney usually even has special Fall offers and promotions on hotel stays. It may even be a little easier to book that hard-to-get dining reservation!
The World’s Most Magical Celebration
Disney World will still be celebrating its epic 50th anniversary this Fall! If you couldn’t make it in 2021, no worries the celebration is still going strong! See the beautifully decorated castle, the special character cavalcades, and character outfits, and enjoy the limited edition merchandise, food, and beverages!
EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival
As if you needed another reason to visit Disney World this Fall, EPCOT will also still be hosting its annual International Food & Wine Festival! Enjoy food and drinks from around the world and maybe even experience the brand new rollercoaster, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! This festival is a crowd favorite and there are some delicious items featured this year!
