We spend a lot of time here at Disney Addicts focusing on all the fantastic treats that you’ll find at the Disneyland theme parks but these aren’t the only places where you can enjoy the amazing cuisine. As a matter of fact, one of our favorite meals of the day when we’re at Disneyland Resort is breakfast where we can wake-up and fuel-up for the exciting day ahead! That’s why most mornings you’ll find us up early and at Downtown Disney enjoying one of the many incredible breakfast items you’ll find at its eclectic array of eateries. Here are 6 of our favorites to try during your next Disneyland visit.
1. Breakfast Croissant – (pictured above) Let’s start with this delicious breakfast sandwich which you will find at Napolini. It comes with your choice of ham or bacon, scrambled eggs, cheese, tomato and spinach which means its full of the energy you need for your busy theme park day. It will set you back $9.00 and pairs perfectly with the espresso drinks on offer!
2. Breakfast Burrito – Start the day off right with this delicious Mexican breakfast offering at Taqueria. These hearty burritos are filled with scrambled eggs and cheese and guests can choose to add beans or meat as well. This is definitely a dish that will tide you over until lunchtime. We also recommend the Mexican Cinnamon Coffee. The burritos start at $4.75 and go up to $6.25.
3. Brioche French Toast – For us, nothing says “I’m having breakfast while on vacation” quite like a decadent helping of french toast. The brioche french toast at La Brea Bakery Express definitely delivers. Fresh from the griddle, these delicious slices are drizzled with maple syrup, dusted with powdered sugar and sprinkled with cinnamon. This dish is also served with a side of fresh berries. With La Brea opening at 7:00 am this is the perfect place to grab a quick bite before waiting to get into the parks.
4. Chilaquiles – For those that like to enjoy a proper sit-down breakfast, head over to Tortilla Jo’s and order the Chilaquiles. This dish is made up of house-made corn tortilla chips covered with scrambled eggs, Cotija cheese, cilantro-onion mix, crema fresca, and your choice of salsa roja or salsa verde. This breakfast dish will set you back $14.00 The restaurant also offers bottomless mimosas during weekend brunch!
5. Buttermilk Pancakes – Another breakfast classic, our favorite place for pancakes at Disneyland is Catal where they come hot-off-the-griddle and topped with marinated berries and warm maple syrup. For something savory to go with your sweet, they also come with a side of bacon. We also recommend pairing your stack with one of the amazing speciality juices or fruit smoothies being served up here in the mornings. The buttermilk pancakes cost $15.00
6. Eggs Benedict – For those looking for a lazy start to the morning, we’ve got your perfect dish. Head over to the Uva Bar and Cafe for their Eggs Benedict. This entree comes with two poached eggs and Virginia ham and is served on an English muffin that is topped with a decadent hollandaise sauce. It comes with a side of country potatoes and can be yours for $15.00.
This is just a small taste of the breakfast treasures that await visitors to Downtown Disney. So give yourselves some extra time in the morning to explore these amazing eateries. You won’t be sorry!
