Now is the time of year where many of us start our layaways, Christmas shopping and to hash out our plans for the holiday season. For those planning on giving the gift of a 2018 Walt Disney World Vacation, coming up with a way to do the big reveal on Christmas morning can be a bit daunting. To help you with that all-important Christmas surprise here are 6 ways you can thrill your loved ones on Christmas morning.
1. Put a Magic Band under the tree with Disney World’s new Holiday Offer – Earlier this week, Disney revealed a special gift for those looking for the perfect way to surprise your loved ones on Christmas morning. If you book your 2018 Walt Disney World vacation before November 15, 2017, Disney will send you a special Walt Disney World MagicBand (1 per person for each member listed on your reservation) just in time for Christmas complete with a holiday gift box. Guests should note that the offer is only available on non-discounted packages and cannot be applied to reservations already booked under a discount offer. There is also a minimum stay requirement of 3-nights.

2. Suprise your loved ones with a Disney Gift Card – Nothing says “We’re going to Disney World” like finding one of these in your Christmas stocking. Gift Cards can be used to pay off a Disney vacation, stock up on theme park essentials at disneystore.com or save them until vacation day where they’ll cover a wide range of expenses from souvenirs to gratuities. Disney gift cards can be found at most major retailers but to customize how much money you want on them or to pick ones with special Christmas theming, we highly recommend visiting disneygiftcard.com They have a massive variety of festive cards on offer.
3. Have a signed Disney postcard sent to the house. Why not slip an autographed postcard by Mickey, Minnie or one of the Disney Princesses beneath the tree to let your family know they’re Disney bound. Disney has two addresses you can write to in order to get an autograph from your favorite Disney character. These are as follows;
For Walt Disney World:
Walt Disney World Communications
P.O. Box 10040
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830-0040
For Disneyland:
Walt Disney Company
Attn: Fan Mail Department
500 South Buena Vista Street
Burbank, CA 91521
The postcards usually take about 4-6 weeks to make their way to you but have been known to take as long as three months. If this is your preferred Christmas surprise option then send in your letter straightway. I would strongly recommend sending one to each address just for an extra little bit of security. Also, it is to possible to send one for each child and get more than one reply per household.
4. Surprise them via Advent Calendar – If Advent Calendars are big in your household (they are huge in mine), then they can be a great tool for a Disney vacation reveal. Whether you leave little clues every day or simply throw in the trip at the end, they’re a fun way to get the whole family excited about what’s to come. Disney does their own fantastic advent calendar each year. You’ll find this one available at disneystore.com for $19.99. The little pull out drawers means you can fill them with everything from little messages to chocolates to Disney pins! Order yours while supplies last.
5. Give the gift of Disney Essentials – Let your little ones put the clues together by providing them with a range of little gifts that will be helpful on their Disney vacations. Park essentials would include backpacks, autograph books, trading pins, lanyards, pens, customzied shirts etc. The disneystore.com has a section devoted to theme park essentials and Etsy is also a good place to go if homemade and DIY items are more your thing.
6. Let them put the pieces together with Disney Puzzle- These days pretty much any craft store offers blank jigsaw puzzles that you can add a special “We Are Going to Disney World” message to. Also, photo print services like Shutterfly and Amazon Prints, will print photos versions and mail them to you. Puzzles can be a great way to draw out the fun. You can make a holiday-themed scavenger hunt or if you have multiple children split them up so that they have to collaborate to get their Christmas message.
