Festival of the Arts

Epcot’s International Festival of the Arts kicks off in just a few short days with an amazing array of concerts, workshops, exhibits and more.  If there’s one aspect that has us pretty excited its the 13 incredible Festival Food Booths that will be serving up incredible culinary works of art.   To celebrate these 13 amazing festival eateries, we thought we’d share with you our favorite dish from each to whet your appetites.  So jot down your favorites and save room in your tummies if you’re heading to Epcot between January 12 – February 19th.

Festival of the Arts

1. Pan-Seared Scallop with Chorizo, Roasted Red Pepper Coulis and a Parmesan Crisp – The Artist’s Table – This Gluten Free dish is a seafood-lovers delight.  Save a bit of room for dessert to enjoy the Artist’s Palette Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookie seen above!

2. Amaretto Bellini – L’Art de Mangiare – Italy will have its own Festival kitchen this year and we’ll be heading there for this delightful drink which features Amaretto, White White Peach Purée and Prosecco.  Its the perfect tipple for a stroll around the World Showcase.

3. Pop Art Sugar Cookies – Pop Eats – We’re delighted that these fan favorites from last year will be back for another season. The beautiful cookies have a strawberry filling and are the perfect snack for those on a vegetarian diet.

4. Chirashi Sushi and Haupia Pearl – Takumi Table – Calling all sushi lovers, the Japan Pavilion is the place to be during this year’s Festival of the Arts.  You won’t want to miss this tasty sushi dish which features Salmon, Tuna and Yuzu Miso with Coconut Tapioca Pudding.

5. Saint-Honore Tart – Cuisine Classique – Back for a second year, this food booth is serving up an amazing array of tasty treats.  Those with a sweet tooth will definitely want to give the Saint-Honore Tart a try.  Its comprised of a Caramel Cream Tart with Caramel Glaze topped with Cream Puffs.

6. Deconstructed Breakfast – The Deconstructed Dish – You’ve heard of liquid lunch, how about liquid breakfast?  This creative offering features  Twinings® Spiced Apple Chai Tea Shake with Maple Bourbon Cream, a Waffle Crisp and Candied Bacon.  Its one of those creations so clever that you just have to give it a try!

7. White Chocolate and Purple Sweet Potato Mousse – Decadent Delights – This is another dish (and food booth) that we are happy to see making a comeback in 2018.  This offering features White Chocolate and Purple Sweet Potato Mousse, Salted Caramel and a Maple Meringue with Coconut. Trust us when we say it’s delicious!

8. Mixote de Cordero – El Artista Hambriento – The name of this food booth translates to The Hungry Artist and you’ll definitely want to make it your go-to spot when your tummy starts to rumble.  Top of our must-try list is the Mixote de Cordero which is Wrapped Slow Braised Lamb marinated in Tres Chiles Paste and Spice.  Add one of this eatery’s lovely margaritas for the perfect lunchtime combo.

Festival of the Arts

9. Charcuterie Palette – The Masterpiece Kitchen – Charcuteries are all the rage just now and this one definitely delivers.  Tuck in to a delicious assortment of Artisan Cured meats, Nueske’s Smoked Beef and Cheeses. Masterpiece Kitchen is also serving up 5 different varieties of wine any of which would make the perfect pairing.

10. Frosé – L’Art du Cuisine Francaise – We are a huge fan of the drinks you’ll find at the France Pavilion all year round and Festival time is no different.  This year we can’t wait to try the delicious Frosé on offer that combines Frozen Côtes de Provence Rosé Wine with Grey Goose Vodka and Peach Purée.

11. Pomegranate Mule – The Painter’s Palate – The Pomegranate Mule has created a lot of buzz over at Disneyland Resort this past Holiday Season and we are happy to see it make an appearance on the East Coast. The version of the cocktail being served up at The Painter’s Palate features Ginger People Ginger Beer and Van Gogh Vodka.

12. Hummus Trifle – Mosaic Canteen – Who says Trifles are meant to be sweet?  The Morocco Pavilion is serving up this savory version that features Layered Hummus topped with Spiced Beef, Pine Nuts and Dry Cherries.  It’s served with pita chips.

13. M.S.G – The Painted Panda – We love a drink with a sense of humor and this treat being served up at the China Pavilion definitely delivers.  This cooler is made up of Mango Wine, Strawberry Syrup and Ginger Ale.

This is a mere sliver of the tasty treats you’ll find at Epcot during this year’s International Festival of the Arts.  We suggest you bring your appetites and set aside some time to sample the amazing offerings you’ll find scattered about the theme park.   For more information on the classes and workshops being offered during the Festival check out this article.
