Can You Take a Public Bus to Disneyland?

Many people often joke that they wish their morning commute would take them to Disneyland. However, for lucky travelers in San Bernardino, Riverside and Orange, getting to Disneyland is just as easy as hopping the bus to work.

According to a new article in the Orange County Register, the Riverside Transit Agency’s new Express Route 200 will drop off visitors at Disneyland Resort terminal. The service started running on Sunday, January 14th.

Here’s a look at the route:

Buses run between 100 and 115 minutes depending on the day and time. Each bus can accommodate between 40 and 50 people. The buses also offer Wi-Fi and charging portals for cellphones. Those interested in using the service should take note that there are no restrooms available on board.

What stops does the bus make? The new express bus makes seven stops along its route. These are as follows:

San Bernardino Downtown Transit Center
Downtown Riverside at Lemon & University
Downtown Riverside at Metrolink Station
Riverside Galleria at Tyler
La Sierra (Riverside) Metrolink Station
The Village at Orange
Disneyland (Harbor Boulevard near East Shuttle Way)

What are the dates and times that the service is available? According to Riverside Transit Agency, there are 17 trips made along the route each day. Westbound buses are in operation from San Bernardino between 3:42 am and 7:10pm. Eastbound buses are in operation from Anaheim between 6:02 and 9:29pm.

During the weekends, the service is reduced to 9 trips per day. Westbound buses are in service from 6am to 6:55pm and Eastbound from Anaheim run from 8.17am to 9:09pm.

What is the cost for the service? The cost for the new service is $3 each way for general boarding and $2 for seniors, veterans and people with disabilities. Good news for college students, those participating in the U-Pass or Go-Pass programs can ride for free provided that you present a valid College ID. The service is also free to City of Riverside employees. Day passes are also available for $7 or $5 for seniors, people with disabilities and veterans. There is also a 30-day pass available for $75 for general or $50 for those with concessions.
