Preparing for a Disney World Vacation is a ton of fun – but it can also be a TON of work! Packing, making ADR’s, researching and booking Fastpasses – there’s a lot to do before you can head to the most Magical Place On Earth! One thing that people always want to know and plan for is their paperwork from Disney – we get asked about it a LOT – and it makes sense why – getting that envelope/box from Disney is exciting, it means vacation is getting really close! So read on for the answers to the questions – When Will My MagicBands and Magical Express Luggage Tags Be Delivered?
Magic Bands: You’re able to customize your Magic Bands through your online reservation, and the window to do that closes 30 days before your Disney trip. Once you hit that 30 day mark, you should receive a notification via email that your Magic Bands have shipped, and you will get tracking information for that shipment as well. They travel via USPS, so once they ship it might take a week or so to arrive to you, which means you should have them by the time you reach the “2 weeks until Disney” mark. If you do NOT receive your Magic Bands – do not panic! You can always contact your Travel Agent or Disney directly, and they can ship them to you, or you can obtain them once you arrive to check-in at your WDW Resort Hotel
Magical Express Tags: Your Luggage tags and information for Disney’s Magical Express should arrive about 2-3 weeks before your Disney World vacation. If you don’t receive them, you can give Magical Express a call directly at 407-939-1936 or contact your travel agent. Replacements can usually be issued with a turnaround time of 7-10 business days. If you still don’t receive them before you leave for your trip, you can present the Magical Express Cast Members with your boarding pass that has your checked baggage tags attached, and Disney will call and retrieve your bags and have them delivered to your WDW Resort Hotel Room
So – if your WDW trip is a few weeks away and you’re waiting on your Magic Bands and Magical Express info – fear not! As it is most likely on it’s way to you. My personal rule of thumb is if I am two weeks out and I don’t have anything, then I call Disney and see what’s up – usually it’s just a matter of timing and the items are already on their way (just haven’t arrived to me yet!), but if it’s another issue, they are more than happy to resolve it any way they can. And remember – at the end of the day, you are still heading to Walt Disney World – a place full of fun and magic, where you will no doubt have an amazing time!
