A Look at Remy's Ratatouille Adventure Coming to Epcot

We learned about so many new attractions coming to Epcot!  We love seeing the transformation this park is undergoing, hopefully, Walt does too!  Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is one of the newer attractions that is coming to the France Pavillion located across from the new International Gateway Skyliner Station in Epcot at Walt Disney World and we are beyond thrilled!

Remy's Ratatouille Adventure

The trackless 4D dark ride is based on the 2007 Disney/Pixar animated film, Ratatouille, and is a replica of Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy that opened in Disneyland Paris in 2014.

We have recently been gifted a sneak peek inside the ride from the Disney Parks Blog and the ride looks larger than life, pun intended!  The new adventure is based on Disney and Pixar’s hit film, “Ratatouille”! The family-friendly attraction will invite you to shrink down to the scale of a rat for a culinary adventure with Chef Remy as you race across Gusteau’s kitchen floor aboard special trackless ride vehicles.

Look how cute the trackless vehicles are! The Imagineers captured the personality of Remy perfectly, which you can see! Imagineers also did a fantastic job with details, as usual! Look at the details of the kitchen, it really makes you feel as if you have shrunk down with the size of the food all around you.  As you scamper through Gusteau’s Restaraunt in a rat-shaped ride vehicle, you will encounter various characters from the movie along with the sounds, sights, and smells! Plus, there will also be special water and heat effects, so be prepared!

While these are the only real details we have so far on the new Remy’s Ratatouille Attraction as Disney is usually pretty tight-lipped about their upcoming attractions, we have a few guesses at what is coming based on the Disneyland Paris attraction.

The new attraction is meant to be family-friendly and there are no height requirements for Disneyland Paris so we are assuming there will be none for Walt Disney World either.  Plus, if the Epcot ride continues on the same path as Paris, the ride vehicles may even accommodate wheelchairs and ECV’s without transfers.  That’s pretty impressive!

Lastly, again Disney has not yet confirmed any details, but this ride should offer Fastpasses and single rider options just like in Disneyland Paris.

Are you looking forward to the new adventures coming to Epcot starting in 2020?  Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is slated to open in Epcot Summer 2020, no specific date yet.
