The second the weather starts to change, all eyes turn to the Disney parks to ring in the festivities. This year, starting November 6th until December 30th, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to celebrate everything that the Walt Disney World Resort and the Holidays have to offer. All four theme parks as well as Disney Springs will be dressed in their holiday best and will also be featuring pop-up appearances from Santa Clause as well.
According to Disney Parks Blog, “Guests will be delighted by the sight of festive flotillas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, holiday promenades at EPCOT and merry motorcades at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.“. As for Magic Kingdom Park, parades with a holiday twist are in sight – adorned festive floats featuring Gingerbread Men, Elves, Reindeer, and Toy Soldiers will glide through the park. All this will be accompanied by the Main Street Philharmonic of course!
Cinderellas Castle will have its famous projections – with a festive theme of course! The castle will be adorned in red, green, and gold ornamentation – as well as dressed in a Christmas sweater. This display will be in place of the “Castle Dream Lights” – and that’s not all that will be changing this year. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Candlelight Processional at EPCOT will also be on hiatus – but Imagineers and cast members are working hard to make other magical arrangements so there will be other things to enjoy!
If you’re looking for a delicious meal to enjoy, according to Disney Parks Blog, “Minnie Mouse will be hosting a yuletide gathering for all her friends at Hollywood & Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios starting Nov. 6. Santa Goofy will be there, along with Minnie and more in their holiday best“.
Of course, there will be Christmas festivities at Disney Springs as well! Christmas Trees will be decorated and placed all around! Dreaming of a White Christmas? According to the Disney Parks Blog, “In the evening, guests visiting areas within Town Center, West Side and The Landing will encounter a magical snowfall, adding an extra touch of wonder to their holiday shopping”. If you love Jock Lindsey – it will be transforming its Hangar Bar into a Holiday bar – and we can’t wait!
The Disney Resort hotels will be decorated but the beloved Gingerbread displays will not be available this year! Due to physical distancing guidelines, the extravagantly adorned gingerbread houses will have to wait until next year.
On November 27th, EPCOT will be celebrating highlights from the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. According to Disney Parks Blog “Holiday kitchens will return around World Showcase promenade with favorites like American Holiday Table featuring Slow-roasted Turkey with Stuffing and Bavaria Holiday Kitchen with dishes like Cheese Fondue in a Bread Bowl.” – Sounds delicious and of course, perfectly in theme!
There is so much excitement in the air already and the magic of the holidays have not even begun! We are excited to see all the new fun that Disney has in store and it cannot come fast enough.
