We all love to visit Walt Disney World and enjoy all the shows and performances they have to offer, it’s an important part of the Disney magic!
Since the parks reopened back in July, the entertainment options at the resort have been modified to make sure appropriate measures were taken, keeping guests and cast members safe.
For example, character cavalcades throughout the four theme parks, socially distanced character meet & greets like Joy and Winnie the Pooh walking around the Imagination pavilion! And modified shows like “For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along” and the Main Street Philharmonic!
But even with all these efforts, it’s impossible to keep all the shows and performances that existed before the pandemic. That’s why Disney had to make the difficult decision to cancel certain entertainment options, at least for now, like:
- Festival of The Lion King
- Finding Nemo: The Musical
- Monsters Inc Laugh Floor
- Citizens of Hollywood
- Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue
- Beauty and The Beast Live On Stage
Other fan favorites are set to make a return this Holiday season during the “Festival of the Holidays” at Epcot beginning November 27th:
- Voices of Liberty
- JAMMitors
- Mariachi Cobre
We hope we can have all the live entertainment back soon. In the meantime, if you would like to help all the Cast Members affected by this, you can do it by donating to Cast Member Pantry or Cast Member Toy Box.
