Walt Disney World Resort began a phased reopening in July 2020. The phased reopening meant that not everything would immediately reopen. The good news is that we are seeing more and more brought back to Disney all the time. Rules and regulations are starting to relax and capacity is increasing. It is no secret that Disney is home to some phenomenal restaurants! While many have reopened, a few of my absolute favorites have not. Here are the top 5 restaurants I’m missing the most!
Ohana- This restaurant is definitely at the top of my list! Ohana is one of my absolute favorite restaurants at Disney World. It is located inside Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The cuisine here is American/Polynesian and served family-style. Ohana is also home to a character breakfast featuring Lilo and Stitch. If you’ve never eaten here, you should!
Storybook Dining at Artist Point- This may be my favorite character meal in all of Disney! This restaurant is located inside Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Here guests will meet Snow White, Grumpy, Dopey, and even the Evil Queen herself! The character interactions were amazing, and the food was fabulous! Here guests choose from a prix fixe menu of plated entrees and along with shared starters and desserts. I was surprised at how much I really loved this experience. I can not wait to go back. This dinner was definitely an experience!
Jiko- The Cooking Place- This signature restaurants is located inside the Jambo House section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. This unique restaurant transports guests into the heart of Africa. The cuisine here inludes traditional African, Indian and Mediterranean dishes with bold blends of flavors and spices. This dining experience is so unique, I can’t wait for Jiko to reopen.
Yachtsman Steakhouse- Savory steaks, fresh seafood, and more can be found at this signature steak house located in Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. Of course, this restaurant is mainly known and loved for the amazing steaks they serve. Yachtsman Steakhouse is almost always brought up when discussing the best steaks on Disney property.
Boma Flavors of Africa- This restaurant is also located inside Disney’s Animal Kingom Lodge and greatly missed. Boma is well known for its amazing all you can eat breakfast and dinner buffets. I absolutely love the breakfast buffet! It is one of the best breakfasts at Disney, in my opinion. Where else can you savor the flavors of over 50 african countries?
