Disney animals across property are joining the 50th anniversary celebration of the Walt Disney World Resort!
This past October 1st, the most magical celebration on Earth kicked off with amazing decor, new shows, merch, food and more. So of course the Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment department wanted to put something together for the cute animals around the resort to join the party.
Cast members incorporated the 50th anniversary with enrichment, which consist on providing new objects or experiences to animals to stimulate their brains and create more of a natural experience, this way they can prevent captive animals from getting bored or frustrated while encourage them to think and have fun!
For example, the aardvarks, alpacas and porcupines at the Conservation Station joined the celebration while eating! Keepers made sure to write out 50 with their food and they loved it.
The zebras, ankole cattle and hornbills at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge also joined the party with their own enrichment activities!
