Every Alice in Wonderland fan is familiar with this classic Disney song:

Statistics prove, prove that you’ve one birthday,
One birthday ev’ry year.
But there are three
Hundred and sixty four
Unbirthdays.
That is why we’re gathered here to cheer.
A very merry unbirthday to you, to you!

The Mad Hatter and March Hare certainly celebrate “unbirthday” parties, but this week is different for their tea party. Why? Because they would be honoring the actual birthday of Walt Disney’s Alice in Wonderland animated movie!

Alice in Wonderland (1951)

The animated feature made its theatrical debut on July 28, 1951. It’s a cherished Disney film filled with colorful characters and delightful music.

The Mad Tea Party is a spinning tea cup ride located in Fantasyland. The ride is considered an opening day attraction for both Magic Kingdom and Disneyland. To many, it’s a classic attraction many symbolize with Disney Parks.

Additionally, those who go to Disneyland can experience two different Alice attractions. The “Alice in Wonderland” attraction is the only dark ride in any Fantasyland area that has an outdoor section that is elevated.Guests board a magic Caterpillar and go down the rabbit hole.

The ride culminates at the Unbirthday Party, where the Mad Hatter and the March Hare sing “A Very Merry Unbirthday to You.” The White Rabbit stands next to a giant unbirthday cake with a dynamite candle on top of it, shaking nervously. The cake explodes as the guests exit the scene and arrive at the unlod area to exit the caterpillar.
