If Autumn is where you blossom and Fall really has it all – you are not alone. Give us all the Apple Cider, changing colors, and pumpkin-spiced-flavored EVERYTHING. Being a Disney fan has its perks because it means you can enjoy some classics at your fingertips on Disney+!
Now this list may be controversial because it’s too hard to choose. If you are interested in a Halloween/Spooky Disney movie fest, check out our 9 Essential Disney Movies to Watch before Halloween!! Fall films can be directly related to the time of year, but also films that give you a specific feeling. Whatever the case may be, we hope you get to be your coziest fall self, bundle up in your favorite sweater and enjoy one of the films listed below!
- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1977)
- The entire film brings about a cozy vibe that can be attributed to the season but there’s something special about Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day. Try raking leaves on a windy day and you’ll know precisely how Piglet felt!
- The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
- I believe this list would become invalid if The Nightmare Before Christmas did not make an appearance! This film can be enjoyed all year round. The music is timeless, the characters are iconic and from the months of September to the end of December, it reigns supreme.
- The Adventures of Ichabod And Mr. Toad (1949)
- A few Halloween classics are going to make their way onto this autumn list – tis’ the season, of course! Ichabod is in the “spooky” town of Sleepy Hollow. Tales are told, women are wooed, and a Headless Horseman haunts the townsfolk – what more could you want out of a fall classic!?
- Bedknobs and Broomsticks (1971)
- Even though this film is not fully animated – its mix of live-action and animation qualifies it to be on our list! A witch, a magician, and two children all go on an adventure and work to help their country during The Second World War.
- James and the Giant Peach (1996)
- James and the Giant Peach is just one of those films that needs to be watched once to become a part of your fall schedule. A boy finds liberty and friendship while on an adventure – on a giant peach. The aesthetic of this film is simply fall.
- Coco (2017)
- The colors in this film are simply stunning. Though The Day of the Dead is celebrated just after Halloween, it should still be celebrated and mentioned as a favorite fall film. Celebrating loved ones – both dead and alive – is highlighted so beautifully in this film. For those unfamiliar with this movie, it is worth a watch.
- Pocahontas (1995)
- Can you paint with all the colors of the wind? Highlighting season changes and the colors of the falling leaves is something this film does so incredibly well. We love curling up and watching Pocahontas’ unwavering strength from start to finish.
