Disney’s Palm Golf Course, located at Shades of Green resort, was completely redesigned in 2013 by Arnold Palmer Design Company, which brought a new design to the course bunkers, reshaped tee boxes, and entirely new greens.
The course is a beautiful one to play, boasting 9 holes with water hazards, a total of 59 bunkers, and an array of lakes and palm trees to add to the course’s visual aesthetic. This par 72 course is 6,870 yards from the Blue tees and 5213 yards from the red tees.
The next course we will explore at the Happiest Place on Turf is Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course, also located at Shades of green. Magnolia is currently completing a refurbishment with 14 holes open for play (the remaining 4 holes on this course should be available later in 2023).
Magnolia is a tour-style golf course that is the longest course on property, boasting 7,560 yards from the black tees. As an Audubon International Cooperative Wildlife Sanctuary, the Magnolia Golf Course is an amazing way to spend a few hours playing a round at Walt Disney World resort.
Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course, the Happiest Place on Turf’s 9-hole executive course, is located near Magnolia and Palm courses. This course is extremely walkable, providing a great way to enjoy a few hours in the sun and stretch your legs.
The course is also the home of foot golf at Walt Disney World, affording another way for families to get in on the golf action.
The fourth course at the Happiest Place on Turf is Disney’s Lake Buena Vista golf course, which is located near Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort. Lake Buena Vista is a par 72 course that boasts 6,745 yards from the Blue tees and 5,177 from the red.
Like Magnolia, Lake Buena Vista is certified by Audubon International as a Cooperative Wildlife Sanctuary. The course features elevated greens that test the short game and a picturesque (and difficult!) island green on hole 7.
Want to play a round of golf but don’t want to fly with your clubs? Walt Disney World Golf has you covered, with rental clubs available for men, women, and juniors in both right- and left-handed models (they even rent shoes!). If you want to bring your clubs while saving on space, loaner golf bags are available at no charge.

Guests looking to play multiple rounds can take advantage of Walt Disney World golf’s club storage, which affords the ability to have your clubs stored overnight and ready for you at the beginning of each day.
If you are considering playing a round of golf during your next Walt Disney World vacation, you will want to be sure you pack the proper attire. The Dress code for Walt Disney World golf includes polo-style shirts with collars, turtlenecks or mock turtleneck shirts, and slacks or Bermuda-length shorts for men while women may wear polo-style shirts with collars, suitable shirts or blouses (with or without collars), and slacks, skirts or Bermuda-length shorts.
Be sure to reserve a tee time at least 3 days in advance, as the courses do book up. Walk-up golfers are accommodated as availability allows, with single players and twosome groups having an easier time with walkups than groups of 3 or 4. Reservations can be canceled up to 24 hours in advance without penalty.
