Mardi Gras at Universal Orlando Resort is an absolute blast. The festival is packed with an array of sights, music, a must-see parade, and mouthwatering treats. This past Saturday, we set out on a tasty adventure through the International Flavors of Carnaval, and boy, did we hit the jackpot with the flavors. Here’s a rundown of the amazing treats we tried:

Skeleton Cookie from the Mardi Gras Tribute Store
First up was the Skeleton Cookie from the Mardi Gras Tribute Store. This wasn’t just any cookie; it was a work of art! Shaped like a festive skeleton, it was as fun to look at as it was to eat. The sweet icing and soft, chewy texture made it a perfect start to our culinary journey.
Chicken and Andouille Jambalaya from the New Orleans Booth
Next, we headed to the New Orleans Booth for some authentic Chicken and Andouille Jambalaya. This dish was a flavorful mix of rice, andouille sausage, blackened chicken, peppers, and tomatoes. Each bite was packed with a spicy kick that warmed us up and had us feeling like we were right in the heart of New Orleans.
Sun and Moon Cake from the Mardi Gras Tribute Store
After the jambalaya, we were ready for something sweet, so we went back to the Mardi Gras Tribute Store for the Sun and Moon Cake. This cake was out of this world, with banana and caramel flavors, topped with chocolate planets. It was a deliciously sweet treat that looked as incredible as it tasted, with its space-themed design.
Roman Suppli from the Italy Booth
Our last stop took us to Italy for some Roman Suppli. These aren’t your average snacks; they’re risotto fritters filled with mozzarella and provolone cheese, fried to golden perfection, and served with vodka sauce and roasted red pepper aioli. The creamy cheese inside with the crispy outside, all dipped in that tangy sauce, was the perfect way to wrap up our day of delicious discoveries.
