Epic Universe is set to be Universal Orlando Resort’s newest and most exciting theme park, expected to open in 2025. This remarkable expansion, located on a 750-acre site a few miles from Universal Orlando’s current theme park campus, promises to bring an array of immersive worlds and cutting-edge attractions to visitors. Here is a roundup of everything we know so far about this new Universal theme park.

Celestial Park, the centerpiece of Epic Universe, will serve as the entrance to the park and the gateway to its other themed lands. It’s designed with an astronomical and mythological theme, featuring waterways, pathways, and architecture that capture the imagination. Key attractions in Celestial Park include:

Starfall Racers: A dual-launch racing coaster reaching speeds up to 62 mph and heights of 133 feet.
Constellation Carousel: A unique carousel ride where guests glide through the Milky Way.
Astronomica: An interactive wet-play area that will be perfect on those hot Orlando summer days.

Celestial Park will also offer a variety of themed dining experiences, such as The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant, The Atlantic, and The Oak & Star Tavern, along with unique retail locations.

Epic Universe will feature five themed lands, each offering a unique experience:

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic: Blending elements from the “Fantastic Beasts” films and the original “Harry Potter” series, this land will take guests to 1920s Wizarding Paris from Fantastic Beasts and the British Ministry of Magic from the Harry Potter film series.
Super Nintendo World: Following its success in other Universal parks, guests will step into the worlds of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Donkey Kong. A themed Super Nintendo Store has also been announced. The land will include attractions like the Donkey Kong Coaster and an interactive Mario Cart experience.
How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk: Inspired by the film franchise, this land offers a world of Viking adventures and dragon experiences.
Dark Universe: Focused on Universal’s classic monster films, this land will feature the experiments of Dr. Victoria Frankenstein and other legendary monsters. This land is sure to be a hit with Halloween Horror Nights fans!

Accommodations at Epic Universe will be as immersive as the park itself. At the end of Celestial Park will be the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a 500-room establishment offering unique views and a dedicated entrance into the theme park. Universal previously revealed the names of two other Epic Universe hotels – Universal Stella Nova and Universal Terra Luna – enhancing the on-property experience for visitors. Transportation to Citywalk, Universal Studios Florida, and Islands of Adventure will be provided.

More details about Epic Universe, including additional attractions and experiences, are expected to be announced. An interactive preview center is also planned to open at Universal CityWalk later this year, providing a sneak peek at the new theme park.
