Where are the Best Places to Take Family Photos at Disneyland?

Photo from Disney vacations help to ease the pain of no longer being at Disney between trips. At least this is the case for me, and I have TONS of photos from around the parks. While photos of rides and attractions are amazing and help you to relive a trip, family photos are great keepsakes and ways to keep memories alive.

Here are some amazing places around Disneyland to take family photos!

Train Station – The train station, as you enter into Disneyland, is a great place to take a family photo even before you enter onto Main Street.
Partners Statue – This iconic statue of Walt and Mickey can be found in the hub in front of the Castle and provides a great spot for a memorable photo. You might even get some of the Castle in the background!
Sword in the Stone – Between the Castle and the Carousel is the iconic sword in the stone. Take turns trying to pull the sword from the stone and pose for a photo, but don’t forget to take a family photo as well!
Fantasyland Ride Examples – A few of the Fantasyland rides have stationary versions of the ride “vehicles” that make for great spots to take a photo without actually being on a moving ride. There are stationary versions of Dumbo, the Tea Cups from the Mad Tea Party, and a car from Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride.
It’s a Small World – This ride provides a large and detailed back drop for a family photo. Just the clock face alone is enough to makes this a worthy photo spot.
Signs for Each Land – Each land, including Toontown, has a sign that is fun and detailed in a way that represents the land itself.
Jail in Toontown – Step into the Toontown Jail for a memorable family photo!
Fire Truck in Toontown – Located in front of the Toontown Fire Department is a toon fire truck. Everyone, kid’s especially, love to get their picture taken with firetrucks! So gather round for a great family photo opp.
Sleeping Beauty Castle – Last, but not least is the ever popular photo spot that is Sleeping Beauty Castle. No trip is complete without a family photo in front of the Castle.

I also think that taking individual photos of each member of your group with their favorite ride or attraction in the background is a great way to remember your trip!
