Q: Can I meet Moana at Disney World?
A: It’s official, Moana fever has officially hit. In its first weekend at the box office, Moana has managed to gross an astounding 81.1 million dollars making it the second highest Thanksgiving debut ever recorded (the title holder is still Frozen). It’s no wonder then that Disney guests both young and old are hoping to rub shoulders with the newest Disney Princess on the block.
Guests heading to Walt Disney World in the weeks ahead are in luck as Moana is currently greeting guests over at Hollywood Studios. For the occasion, Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream (located next to the Voyage of the Little Mermaid attraction and Pixar Place) has been converted into a Polynesian Paradise. Moana will be on hand to great guests from 9am -7pm with breaks occurring at regular intervals throughout the day. A Photopass photographer will be there to capture pictures of the meet-up and Moana is also happy to sign autographs.
It is expected that the lines to meet Moana will get rather lengthy so guests are encouraged to avoid visiting during peak periods in the afternoon and instead try to either meet her first thing in the morning when crowds are still at a minimum or latter in the day as they start to taper off.
Visitors should note that character greeting locations and times are subject to change so it is best to consult a Times Guide upon entering the park for the most up-to-date information.
Due to the popularity of the film, Moana meet and greet opportunities are also available at Aulani, Disneyland and Disneyland Paris.
