On a regular basis, one of the most common questions that I’m asked is similar to this…

“How can I save money on a trip to Walt Disney World?”

Let’s be honest…Walt Disney World, a trip to any other Disney resort, location, park, or cruise is certainly one thing…NOT CHEAP!

However, there are several options that can help make a much desired Disney vacation not as traumatic on your bank account. So…today, we’ll discuss some promotion and discount options to help save a bit of cash. Then you can take that cash and book your next stay!

So far, Disney has released a mountain of discounted options for 2019. Keeping in mind that you can only apply these options one at a time, it’s important to cover and consider them all to determine what may be the best fit for your family or traveling party.

Give the Gift of Magic

For starters, Christmas is right around the corner, and Disney has the perfect gift. A current premium promotion (a crowd favorite too) is their holiday discount package to Walt Disney World. Now through January 2^nd of 2019, you can book at predetermined resorts for discounted prices. Savings include up to 15% on value resorts, up to 20% on moderates, and up to 25% on deluxe resorts and villas. You can knock some of that holiday shopping off your list now for select nights between January 1^st and April 27^th of the new year. This is a great option to save some dough and kick off 2019 with a bang!

Eat, Sleep, Experience the Magic and Save

Another similar promotion that Disney is running through the start of 2019 is their Play, Stay, and Dine in the Middle of the Magic Package. From January 1^st through March 9^th (you can book up til January 2^nd) a family of four can save up to $600.00 as they stay at a Disney property resort, enjoy multi-day tickets to all four theme parks, and dine. As with the pricing for their holiday packages, Disney is offering up to $300.00 savings on value resorts, $500.00 for moderates, and up to $600.00 savings for deluxe and villas! As with other current promotions, this discount is only available for select nights, so be sure to check the calendar!

Get Those Memories for Less

Another really cool promotion available now for those of you considering a different (yet popular question) involves memory maker. Should you purchase it…I mean, it is $200.00 for pictures?! If you hurry…YES YOU SHOULD…you can currently purchase the memory maker option for $169.99 with the advanced purchasing option! So get to it!

In addition to these new offers, Walt Disney World is hosting several options that are set to expire soon such as their AP Fall offers and Christmas party packages.

So These Discounts Don’t Work For You?

I get it. You may not be traveling that early into the new year to take advantage of these exciting offers and discounts. Don’t worry…I didn’t forget you either! There are tons of other options and resources to explore and discover new and exciting discounts as 2019 kicks off in a few weeks.

The first place to check continuously is Walt Disney World’s offer site. This is where you’re most likely to find the most obvious and updated information available for discounts and special rates. This includes you AP holders too. Not familiar with AP discounts? All you had to do was ask!

AP Holders

Annual Passholders enjoy several benefits to possessing their exclusive membership. Honestly its an option I feel that everyone should consider. Special events, merchandise, and bookings are made available to AP holders throughout the year. It’s a fabulous way to save a buck while shopping, eating, and staying on Disney property…especially if you are a Florida resident. In fact, exclusive rates for AP holders for early 2019 were released not that long ago, and they were spectacular.

Bounce Back Offers

We’ve all been there. It’s time to leave and trounce back into the real world. As you wearily (and most likely while fighting through tears) load your car or wait for the not-so-magical express…you’re dying inside as you’d do anything to hold onto that magic! Behold reader…the fun doesn’t have to end. Take advantage of a bounce-back offer.

Bounce back offers are usually hidden away within that folder you’d find in your resort room. They include special room rates for those wishing to book their next magical vacation before even completing the one they are currently enjoying. Take advantage of these wonderful options to fight off those post-Disney blues and start planning your next exciting vacation!

Military Discounts

If you’re a veteran…who’s not retired, this isn’t for you. Disney currently only provides discount options to active military veterans and retirees. Special ticket prices and resort established specifically for our nations’ best reside at Shades of Green. However, the waiting times can get lengthy so…if you’re going to book, you may want to do it quickly.

Visa Card Members

Do you have a Disney Visa Card? You’re in luck. Book now using your card and receive a $250.00 statement credit. The catch…you have to spend at least $500.00. In addition, cardholder promotions are always coming and going. Free dining, special shows, and discounted rooms are consistently available for those who hold a Disney Visa Card.

Making Sure You Get the Best Rate Possible

This is the easiest or hardest part of planning a Disney vacation. There are so many discount options and stipulations out there are can become a bit overwhelming to some. However, you can always consult and use a travel agent to assist in your planning. Part of their job should include ensuring that your booking is up-to-date with current discount options and promotions. They can amend your reservations when new options are released as well (even after you’ve booked).

In addition, if you’re like me…you constantly stalk everything “Disney” online. This is both good and bad. Although there are tons of pages and links that offer discount tickets and resort stays, they aren’t always legitimate. Some viable sources are of course Chip and Co and of course Walt Disney World’s website. These two options will provide valuable and accurate information regarding maximizing your vacation fun while saving your wallet a little bit of a headache.

So, as 2019 comes into focus, be on the lookout for these awesome discounts and promotions. New discounts and promotions are right around the corner and should offer even more exciting options and money saving for you and your travel companions.
