Disney Meet and Greets

I’ve you love Disney as much as most of us here at DisneyAddicts do, then you are more than likely either in possession of a Chase Disney Visa card or are considering getting one in the lead-in to your vacation.  There are lots of lovely little perks for Disney fans making this a worthy addition to your Disney must-haves.  Chief among these perks is the ability to avoid the queues and meet some of your favorite Disney and Star Wars characters at two exclusive Meet and Greets found at Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Here’s a brief rundown of where you’ll find both offerings:

Epcot Disney Visa Meet and Greet –  Don’t miss your opportunity to steal a quiet moment with Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto at Epcot’s Innoventions West Pavilion.  This meet and greet is exclusive only to Disney Visa card members which means minimal wait times.  This character greeting is available to cardmembers from 1:00pm – 7:00pm daily.  A valid Chase Disney Visa card is required for entry.

Innoventions is currently undergoing a bit of an overhaul which has seen the closure of several exhibits including Where’s the Fire and the Great Piggy Bank.  This has led many a worried cardholders to wonder if the meet and greet had been cancelled or moved.  Rest assured, as of going to print you will still find it in Innoventions West.  However, admittedly this Pavilion is a bit of a Ghost Town. So, if you have trouble finding it, please ask a Cast Member in the area who will be able to assist you.

Star Wars Imperial Meet and Greet-  Star Wars fans in possession of a Disney Visa will want to head over to Star Wars Launch Bay at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for an exclusive meet-up with the formidable Kylo Ren   Those looking for this cardmembers only experience should not be confused by the standard Kylo Ren meet and greet location that is open to the general public.  Instead, start heading toward the Launch Bay exit and you’ll see the Chase Visa line on your left before you hit the gift shop.  The Meet and Greet is available to card holders from 11:00 am – 4:00pm daily. Again guests must have a valid Disney Visa credit card to enter the line.

Now let’s talk photos. At both meet and greets you’ll receive a voucher with details on how to obtain a free digital photo download of your experiences. The Epcot meet and greet used to come with a complimentary 5X7 print but this is no longer on offer.  For those wanting to capture the moment with more than one shot,  if you ask nicely the Cast Members on hand during the experience are usually more than happy to snap some photos using your personal cameras.

Quick Reminder: With the Food and Wine Festival opening at Epcot in under a week, cardholders shouldn’t forget about the exclusive Chase Visa Cardmember Lounge.  The lounge can be found on the 3rd floor of the American Adventure Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase.  Guests can sit back and relax, enjoy a complimentary beverage and get prepped to head back into the parks with one of the charging stations on offer.

So if you’re heading to Walt Disney World in the weeks and months ahead, be sure to have those Disney Visa Cards at the ready in order to enjoy these extra little perks.

  1. Hi Melissa. My husband and I have each had a Disney Chase Visa card for five years but haven’t used them in a few years. However we booked a Disney trip for later this year and were planning on using our cards for the Epcot Meet and Greet. We both received new cards last year that we activated and they don’t expire until 2019. Today we both received letters stating they are closing our accounts due to inactivity. Will we still be able to gain access to the Meet & Greet by showing our credit cards with the 2019 expiration date or do they verify somehow that the account is still open? Trying to decide whether we want to reapply for new cards or not after they close them. Thanks.
