Buffets are starting to make a comeback at Walt Disney World! Yesterday, Boma – Flavors of Africa reopened as a traditional buffet at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Two more restaurants will be bringing back their buffets at Magic Kingdom and Epcot soon as well!

First to return will be the buffet at Biergarten Restaurant at the German pavilion in Epcot. Beginning August 29, Biergarten Restaurant will offer a buffet dining experience for lunch and dinner! Guests can enjoy favorite German dishes – pretzel rolls, bratwurst, spätzle, schnitzel, and a variety of desserts, including apple strudel and black forest rolls. Now through August 28 the restaurant will offer family-style dining.
The other restaurant that will be returning to a traditional buffet is Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom. Crystal Palace reopened with family-style dining but starting September 12 the restaurant will offer its traditional buffet. The buffet will be available for lunch and dinner. Guests will be able to feast on Parker House rolls, create-your-own fresh garden salad, seared pork tenderloin, fire-roasted prime rib, braised beef short ribs, and more.

Character dining has not been available at Crystal Palace since it reopened and sadly, will not be returning any time soon. Other, modified, character dining experiences are available at Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort.
