Are They Closing Disney Quest?

This question seems to have been floating around and around and unfortunately for those who are fans of Disney Quest, the answer is yes. It was announced not too long ago that this icon of Downtown Disney (soon to be Disney Springs) will be closing in 2016 (no firm date has been announced yet) to make way for an NBA themed attraction. The new attraction will have a more high-tech feel while incorporating hands on activities, restaurants and of course a store.

Many people hate to see Disney Quest close, especially since it provides an excellent way to spend a rainy day when you’re in Disney World! We all know that especially during the summer months in Florida an indoor haven is priceless! When Disney Quest opened in 1998 it was one of a kind, a Disney masterpiece! Housing super advanced video games including virtual reality games, Disney Quest was a must do for all gamers! However, over the years it has begun to show its age. With technology becoming more and more advanced the offerings at Disney Quest seem to pale in comparison to what is offered on home based video consoles and even smart phones!

Although many aren’t looking forward to the 5 story funplex closing, it opens the doors for yet another Disney style adventure! Don’t pre-judge the NBA Experience, because anything that is done by Disney is worth checking out, giving it a chance and I am sure will be worth visiting!
