Music has been a big part of Main Street U.S.A for 50 years!

Its such an important part of the park that when Disney announced entertainment options were coming back in time for the most magical celebration on earth, we were hoping that included the famous piano player at Casey’s Corner and it did!

Randy Morris returned on October 1st to kick off the magical celebration by playing “Maple Leaf Rag”, the same song he played when Magic Kingdom opened back in 1971. We think that was the perfect choice for sure.

Randy was a 19 years old from California that spent the summer of 1970 working at Disneyland Park before deciding to move to Florida and accept a contract to perform at Walt Disney World. Now, 50 years later, he keeps bringing a smile to guests from all over the world by playing everything from traditional favorites like “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” to new tunes like the 50th anniversary celebration anthem “The Magic Is Calling.”
