A single toy can totally spark imagination, create huge happiness, and make memories that stick around forever. That’s why Disney Consumer Products is going all out this year to spread some major holiday cheer, bringing unforgettable moments (and tons of toys!) to kids and families all across the country.

A Sprinkle of Pixie Dust Across the Nation

Building on the awesome Disney Ultimate Toy Drive, Disney Consumer Products has been busy making holiday dreams come true. We’re talking surprise Disney Store shopping sprees and an incredible toy distribution event that was pure magic. But honestly, the real heart of it all is what these gifts mean to the kids and families who get them, it’s a boost of joy, hope, connection, and memories that will last way past December.

What looked like just a regular cardboard box showing up on doorsteps suddenly turned into something extraordinary: a magical Disney surprise to make the holidays extra special! In partnership with Good360, we reached over 100 families in all 50 states and D.C., surprising them with one-of-a-kind Disney Store shopping sprees. Disney VoluntEARS packed each box with care (and a generous dose of pixie dust), filling them with Disney Store holiday products and gift cards. This is just a continuation of Walt Disney’s tradition of spreading happiness during the holidays, proving that the magic travels wherever joy is needed most. We loved watching the pure spirit of the season come alive as families nationwide unboxed their surprises!

Unforgettable Shopping Sprees and Happy Tears

Two of those lucky families got the VIP treatment at the Disney Store Times Square, where Cast Members pulled out all the stops for a truly memorable shopping experience. The Del Moral and Martindale families started with their own private store-opening ceremony, how cool is that?, followed by the big surprise: a box for each mom holding a gift card and extra holiday goodies! There were smiles, laughter, and definitely a few happy tears.

Migdalia Del Moral, a mom of four, grew up loving Disney and now shares that magic with her kids. She was over the moon about the shopping spree, but for her, the real gift was just seeing her kids’ faces light up. “This is going to change my holiday experience,” she shared. “When do you get to go to a store and let your kids pick out whatever they want? As long as they’re happy, I’m happy. And they look really happy right now,” she said.

Jewel Martindale and her two kids were also ecstatic. She shared a heartfelt moment with her son, Arlo, a huge Spider-Man fan who is nonverbal and on the autism spectrum. When he immediately chose a Spider-Man item, Jewel reflected, “That was really sentimental to me, because even though he cannot talk, he can identify, and he knows what he wants.” It just goes to show how deep the Disney connection runs.

Stitch Spreads Holiday Joy in Detroit

We all know Stitch loves a little mischief, but this holiday season, he’s on a mission to spread the joy of giving as part of the Disney Holiday Magic Tour! More than 120 families selected by Toys for Tots were invited to a special, first-of-its-kind event in Detroit, complete with a surprise visit from Stitch. This brought the wonder of Disney right to the middle of the country, extending the magic far beyond the parks and stores.

The event kicked off with a festive lighting ceremony, with the kids helping Stitch brighten up a holiday wonderland! This special space was filled with Disney-themed play zones, treats, and then, the big reveal: a “shopping” experience packed with toys and gifts, all provided to the families at absolutely no cost.

Michael Dunigan, a local parent who attended, said, “It’s just a godsend that this gets put on for families like us, that are struggling. We’ve had a wonderful time here. The smiles on [the kids’] faces made my day.” Wrapping up the day, families even got a meet-and-greet with Stitch, making some truly lasting memories.
