Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Wish Fun Facts

Setting sail in summer 2022, the Disney Wish is the fifth ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, joining the Disney Magic (maiden voyage in 1998), the Disney Wonder (maiden voyage in 1999), the Disney Dream (maiden voyage in 2011) and the Disney Fantasy (maiden voyage in 2012).

As we wait for bookings to open up later this month, here are some fun facts about Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship!

Maiden voyage
The Disney Wish will set sail on her maiden voyage on June 9, 2022. The ship will depart from Port Canaveral, Florida for a 5-night Bahamian cruise.

Home Port
Port Canaveral, Florida

After her maiden voyage, the Disney Wish will set sail on 3- and 4-night Bahamian cruises from Port Canaveral through September 2021.

Tonnage
About 144,000 gross tons (confirmed at delivery)

Length Beam Draft Height

1,119 feet 128 feet 27.2 feet 221 feet

The Disney Wish will be just slightly larger than the Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream in regards to length, beam, draft, and height. The tonnage is around 14,000 tons more than the Fantasy and Dream.

The Disney Wish will have almost 100 more crew members than the other Disney Cruise Line ships, though passenger capacity is the same as the Dream and Fantasy.

For the first time ever in Disney Cruise Line, guests can choose a two-story royal suite stateroom. The Disney Wish will also have more than double the amount of concierge staterooms and suites than on the other ships.
