At Walt Disney World there is EARidescent magic everywhere celebrating the 50th anniversary!
Waterparks and ESPN Worldwide of Sports are full of dazzling decor that shimmers and sparkles all day and night! So if you are looking for some magic outside the main theme parks, these are the places for you.
If you are looking for some tasty treats, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon have some delicious treats inspired by Walt Disney favorite dishes:
Avalunch at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park (Snack Shack at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park when reopened)
- Loaded Nachos with Walt’s Chili: This classic treat is upgraded for the 50th anniversary celebration and features Walt’s favorite chili atop a bed of house fried tortillas, cheese guacamole, shredded lettuce, tomato, onion, sour cream and jalapeño.
I.C Expeditions at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park (Happy Landing at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park when reopened)
- EARidescent Ice Dream Cone: Birthday cake flavored soft serve ice cream cone served up with EARidescent accents to celebrate 50 years of Walt’s dreams that turned into reality.
While at the waterparks, you can’t miss the chance of getting one of the new refillable mugs with a 50th anniversary design! The art highlights Mickey and Donald with Goofy skiing hijinks in the background, so cute!
You can find them at Beach Haus, Lotta Wotta Lodge and Cooling Hut in Blizzard Beach and at Singapore Sal’s and High & Dry over at Typhoon Lagoon.
Don’t forget to say hi to the amazing cast members working at the water parks and ESPN, they are eager to share a bit of the magic with you during this special celebration! Also, check out their new nametags, they now feature the 50th anniversary castle logo above their name, its so cute.
The magic is also calling all runners to participate in the runDisney marathon during the world’s most magical celebration at Walt Disney World.
You will even have the chance to see the stunning beacons of magic during your run! Isn’t that so cool? The 2022 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend will take place from January 5 to 9, 2022.
Your favorite characters will also make an appearance during the marathon in their shimmering EARidescent outfits! Make sure to say hi and snap a quick picture if possible!
The 2022 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend will also take place next year from February 24-27, 2022! Participants will get a beautiful medal inspired by the 50th anniversary celebrations and featuring your favorite princesses!
