The wait is over, Disney’s Blizzard Beach has officially reopened today!
This is the first of the two water parks to open since WDW reopened its theme parks, let’s take a look at what you can expect with the new health and safety measures put in place.

Here are some important rules to follow when it comes to face coverings:
- Face coverings will be required for each guest age 2 and up.
- You have to wear a face mask at the park entrance and exit, retail areas and food and beverage ordering areas.
- Face coverings will not be permitted at water slides or in the water.
As soon as you get into the park, you will find temperature screening just like in the theme parks, as well as, signs on the floor for social distancing.
Mobile order is required when ordering food or drinks, its very easy, you just have to go on the MyDisneyExperience app to order and then pick up at the designated location.
Tables are dinning areas have been arrange to keep the 6 feet apart, so make sure to respect that.
At the lazy river, cast members are limiting how many inner tubes go out and reminding guests about social distancing. The rubes are also getting wiped down every 30 minutes.
All the slopes are open, and as for the toboggan racers, you won’t be able to race next to strangers as a line is being kept empty between parties.
At TeamBoat Springs you need to have two people to ride, single riders are not allowed since they can’t mix parties due to health and safety guidelines.
As for the ski lifts, you don’t have to wear a mask when going on them. Guest can also be mask free when walking between rides or sitting at their chairs.
You and your party are not required to wear a mask if you are in your private area or sitting in chairs that have been arrange keeping 6 feet between them, so its very important to not move them and respect the distance between them.
New merchandise items are available as well, you will find things like spirit jerseys, shirts, towels, bucket hats, flip flops and more!
At this time a park reservation is not required to visit Blizzard Beach, however reservation requirements are subject to change to keep checking back for new updates.
