When you visit the Disneyland Resort, you want to stay somewhere that will satisfy your Disney fandom without emptying your bank account. There are only three hotels on the Disneyland Resort campus, and one of them is much more budget-friendly than the others. Here are five reasons to stay at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel.
Location
The location is a great one! Disney’s Paradise Pier is within easy walking distance to Downtown Disney and the entrances to the Disneyland Resort theme parks. You can take advantage of the awesome Grand Californian Hotel & Spa entrances into the Downtown Disney District or California Adventure Park.
Extra Magic Hours
One of the best perks of staying at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel is that you get early entry to the theme parks EVERY morning of your stay! Different from Magic Mornings which only allow access to Disneyland, when you stay at one of the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort, you get Extra Magic Hours which means exclusive early entrance to Disney California Adventure Park!
These Extra Magic Hours give you access to Disney California Adventure Park on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays one hour before the park opens to the general public! Unlike Magic Mornings, you don’t have to pick just one day to use your Extra Magic Hour, you can get in early each day of your stay as long as you have a valid ticket and room key.
Rooms
Of the three Disneyland hotels, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel has the largest guest rooms. In fact, most of the rooms at this hotel come with two queen beds and a twin-sized sofa bed. Although exact room types can’t be guaranteed, if you have a family of five, you normally get priority on these rooms and they are very comfortable. There are also theme park view rooms that offer views of California Adventure Park and even the nighttime World of Color show!
Theme
I love a good theme and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel does an incredible job carrying the Disney beach theme throughout the entire hotel. I particularly love the Mickey Mouse Lifeguard lamps and beach ball pillows in the guest rooms. The rooms are just darling and you can easily make a game of finding all of the hidden Mickeys throughout.
Pool
Paradise Pier Hotel features a rooftop pool deck, a rarity among official Disney resorts. From here, guests can look out to Disney California Adventure and watch the sights and sounds from the park. The view of World of Color is one of the strongest amenities for this resort or ANY resort at Disneyland. The clever part of the pool is the design. This “rooftop” patio is located only halfway up the high rise.
So, you’re not 150 feet in the air, looking down at sights that look like ants. Instead, you’ll feel like you’re eye to eye with the Incredicoaster and Ferris wheel landmarks. The pool also has a really fun waterslide called California Streamin’.
You can’t go wrong with your Disneyland vacation when you stay at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel! There is nothing more convenient and magical than staying on-property.
