Christmas time is nearly here! Next week the big man comes and leaves us some gifts (those of us who were good anyway…), and until then there’s plenty to be done – shopping, wrapping, baking, watching Christmas movies, visiting Santa, etc. But if you’re looking for a break from your Christmas to do list – and for something you can do with the whole family – look no further than my Disney Christmas Ornament DIY Ideas:
Disney Parks Map Ornaments: Disney Park Maps are one of my favorite souvenirs – I love making them into different things like Drink Coasters and Picture Frames to display my best trip photos, and I recently discovered they can be DIY’d into some great ornaments, too! All you need is – some blank ornaments (can be purchased in round or flat wooden versions at local craft stores like Michaels), some Mod Podge, and some Park maps of course! You can really get creative here – one for each park, or include a picture of you on them – sky’s the limit! Just cut out the pieces you want and glue them down, and be sure to Mod Podge the outside too so that it will last for years to come!
Mickey Head Ornaments couldn’t be easier to make – big and small ball ornaments & a glue gun are all you need! And some little bows maybe if you want to make some Minnies too!
Or maybe you’re looking for something a little less breakable and kid/pet friendly? Then check out how to put these adorable Mickey & Minnie Felt Ornaments together. These would make a great gift for that Disney loving couple in your life!
If your tree is already full of ornaments, then maybe you need a Mickey wreath in your life? I have seen some pretty awesome ones made with tons of ornaments – but my husband had an amazing idea to make one out of a pre-made tinsel wreath instead. He bought it and some matching tinsel garland at the dollar store, and used a wire hanger to shape the ears. Another dollar for the bells and we have ourselves a $3 DIY Mickey wreath! I love how it turned out – and it looks so great on our red front door!
Hopefully these ideas have inspired you, and of you’re feeling crafty, check out even more DIY ideas Here
….Or you can buy ornaments and wreaths etc online of course – but you better do that rush shipping so santa can get them to you in time for Christmas! Or better yet – head to your local Disney Store or even Target or Wal-Mart – they all have a decent assortment of Disney ornaments – perfect for last minute gifting and decorating!
