The Holidays are a great time to visit Walt Disney World – everyone is in the holiday spirit, and they really go all out with the decorations, food, and general merriment. If you know you want to celebrate the holidays at Disney World, but you aren’t sure you can handle the crowds at Christmas (which are HUGE – trust me – been there, done that!), then I highly recommend planning a Thanksgiving Disney trip. The Christmas decorations will already be up, and what better thing to be thankful for than the Happiest Place On Earth?
As for food (which we know is really the main attraction at Thanksgiving!) – there are several options for Disney restaurants that serve up a more traditional Thanksgiving dinner:
THEME PARKS:
MAGIC KINGDOM:
Liberty Tree Tavern
Cinderella’s Royal Table
EPCOT:
Rose & Crown in UK Pavilion
Biergarten in Germany Pavilion
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Norway Pavilion
Le Cellier in Canada Pavilion
DISNEY’S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS:
The Hollywood Brown Derby
DISNEY’S ANIMAL KINGDOM:
Tusker House Restaurant
RESORTS:
ANIMAL KINGDOM LODGE:
Jiko – The Cooking Place
Sanaa
BEACH CLUB RESORT:
Cape May Café
DISNEY’S BOARDWALK RESORT:
Trattorio al Forno
DISNEY’S CONTEMPORARY RESORT:
California Grill
Chef Mickey’s
The Wave … of American Flavors
FORT WILDERNESS RESORT & CAMPGROUND:
Mickey’s Backyard Thanksgiving Feast at Mickey’s Backyard BBQ show at the Fort Wilderness Pavilion
Trail’s End Restaurant
DISNEY’S GRAND FLORIDIAN RESORT:
Grand Floridian Café
Narcoossee’s
OLD KEY WEST RESORT:
Olivia’s Cafe
PORT ORLEANS RESORT – RIVERSIDE:
Boatwright’s Dining Hall
SARATOGA SPRINGS RESORT & SPA:
The Turf Club Bar and Grill
SWAN & DOLPHIN RESORT:
Fresh Mediterranean Market(lunch)
Garden Grove
Il Mulino
DISNEY’S WILDERNESS LODGE:
Whispering Canyon Café
DISNEY’S YACHT CLUB RESORT:
Captain’s Grille
As always, menus and hours are subject to change at Disney’s discretion – so I recommend you call in your reservation, so you can confirm the restaurant you want will in fact be serving up that turkey and all the trimmings
Oh and SPEAKING of reservations – one thing is for sure – you will want to MAKE A RESERVATION for all your sit down meals, but ESPECIALLY for Thanksgiving Day – as everyone wants to enjoy a nice sit down meal on a Holiday, so tables will surely fill up fast at all these spots!
