How Tall Do You Have to Be to Ride That?! Epic Universe Height Requirements Revealed Ahead of Park Opening
Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe officially opens to all guests on May 22, but the fun is already starting for Annual Passholders, select hotel guests, and Universal Visa Card members who scored early preview access beginning this week! With guests of all ages eagerly preparing to portal-hop through five dazzling new worlds, it’s time to answer one of the most important questions: How tall do you have to be to ride?!
Whether you’re training dragons in the Isle of Berk, casting spells at the Ministry of Magic, or drifting through Super Nintendo World, knowing the height requirements can help avoid any “you-must-be-this-tall” meltdowns at the entrance.
Let’s break it down in true theme park fashion—with a little flair and a lot of fun:

🎠 Constellation Carousel
🌟 All heights welcome—with a twist! Kids under 48″ need a supervising companion, and no hand-held infants are allowed.
🐺 Curse of the Werewolf
🧛♂️ Feeling brave? You’ll need to be at least 40″ to ride, and anyone between 40″–48″ must ride with a supervising companion. Hold on tight… the monsters are unchained!
🐉 Dragon Racer’s Rally
🔥 Ready to ride like a Viking? You must be at least 48″ to saddle up and soar. No dragons allowed to give you a boost.
💦 Fyre Drill
💧 Kids under 48″ can still cool off, but they’ll need a supervising companion. Again, no hand-held infants here either—this one’s got splash potential!

⚡ Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry™
🪄 Minimum height: 40″. Young witches and wizards under 48″ must bring along a magical guardian. Accio bravery!
🪂 Hiccup’s Wing Gliders
🎢 Must be 40″ to fly! If you’re under 48″, don’t go dragon solo—you’ll need a companion in the next seat. Pro tip: keep your eyes peeled for some familiar faces that make an appearance during the ride!
🏎️ Mario Kart™: Bowser’s Challenge™
🍄 Must be 40″ to take on Bowser’s high-speed challenge. Riders 40″–48″ will need a supervising companion—no cheating with power-ups!
🛤️ Mine-Cart Madness™
💥 Hold on, Donkey Kong fans! Riders must be 40″, and kiddos under 48″ need a buddy to barrel through the jungle.
🧟♂️ Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment
⚡ Strictly 48″ and up for this terrifying trip into the mad scientist’s lab. This one’s for the bold and the brave!

🌠 Stardust Racers
🎇 Ready for lift-off? You’ll need to be at least 48″ to ride this epic dual-track racing coaster across the stars. Pro tip: both sides have a slightly different track layout, be sure to check out both!
🍄 Yoshi’s Adventure™
🌈 This family-friendly ride welcomes guests starting at 34″, with anyone under 48″ needing a supervising companion. Pro tip: the view from Yoshi’s back is unbeatable!
From toddler-friendly tracks to heart-pounding coasters, Epic Universe truly has something for everyone—just make sure you measure up before you queue up! 📏✨

Don’t forget to check the Universal app or the Rider Safety page for up-to-date accessibility info, health advisories, and ride status. And while you’re at it, brush up on your spells, stretch out those racing muscles, and maybe sneak in a few inches with some themed sneakers (kidding… mostly).
Let the countdown to May 22 begin—and may your whole crew be tall enough to ride every single land! 🌌🎢🪄🎮
